Martinaglia Optik AG

I was a tourist in the area on holiday, and happen to injure my eye when my baby accidentally hit my face. I was worried, and in significant pain. We happened to be walking past Martinaglia Optik, so I walked in and asked for advice. The Optician and store worker were extremely kind and helpful; they spoke perfect English. The Optician examined my eye, and provided me with several numbers of local Ophthalmologists that I could see. I'm very grateful for the kind and compassionate staff, that went out of their way to help, even though I didn't purchase anything. I was able to get an eye exam, and antibiotic eye drops as a result of their assistance. My holiday continued without issue. I'm very grateful!

Wir wurden heute übers Ohr gehauen. Ich brauchte relativ dringend ein neues Linsenaufbewahrubgsgefäss welches Peroxied neutralisieren kann.12 Franken kostete der Spass! Im Internet kostet das Döschen inklusive eines Reinigungsmittel 10 Franken. Mich regt nicht der Preis auf, jeder kann nehmen was er will, mich regt es auf dass man nicht darauf aufmerksam gemacht wird!Schade muss ich es das nächste Mal im Internet bestellen...Dieser Post wiederspiegelt meine persönliche meinung. Alle anderen Produkte kann ich nicht beurteilen!

I am in Grindelwald for a few nights and needed to wear my sunglasses as it’s a super sunny summer! My sunglassses were lose and kept falling when I was out and about hiking, etc. They needed to be adjusted. I visited Martinaglia Optik on the main high street and was met by Dominique who was so very kind and adjusted my glasses to perfection within a few minutes. I am so happy :)

While on vacation, my sunglasses broke. This business came through for me! Thank you!

Sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend

Do not shop from here. The products are overpriced and the service is terrible. I bought a pair of sunglasses and the next day wanted to return them as I found another pair. Instead of politely telling me they don’t except returns like a normal human being, the store manager David started sneering at me and saying ‘we are not a rental service’ whilst snickering. He then told me that in Switzerland you can’t return products bought (???) He and the shop staff then proceeded to joke and make fun of me with the Swiss customer in front in German, laughing and shaking their heads, when they knew I didn’t understand. The fact that people like them can develop such a sense of unnecessary superiority is actually quite disgusting. One can’t help but think this is racist behaviour. All in all, you will be treated like a king if you’re splashing money, but if there are any issues you will be seen as the ‘problematic tourist’. Just goes to show what pathetic values they hold, when they can’t even treat other people like civilised human beings. Let’s have a look at what awful reply they will send to this post. Disgusting attitude and customer service.

I went to Martinaglia to have a stem fixed on my sunglasses. They told me that one of the lenses was broken. In less than an hour they changed both lenses. A lot of professionalism. (I’m from Barcelona-Catalonia)

Great service from start to finish!I broke my glasses at the start of my one month vacation in Switzerland! This is kind of a nightmare for someone who doesn’t see well at all.We frantically called around and found Martinaglia Optic. We made an appointment and headed there right away. The two gentlemen inside were not only friendly, but quite knowledgeable about how to take my original lenses shave them down and put them into a smaller frame. Speaking of frames, they had one of the biggest and best selections that I have seen! They spoke great English too since I don’t speak German; that was a lifesaver!They were super fast as well. From the time we dropped off the broken glasses, until they were shaven down and put into another frame ready to be picked up it was only an hour; now that is impressive!Thanks guys it’s so nice to have my 20/20 vision back again and ready for my next adventure!
