Festival International de Ballons

This day was A M A Z I N G! The festival was fun, participative and so enjoyable. The organization was perfect, with easy access by public transport and once there, signage to direct us to various events. Loved it!

Chaos überall. Es fängt bereits mit kilometerlangen Staus auf den Strassen an. Parkplätze? Fehlanzeige. Und auch die MOB ist heillos überfordert. Warum werden keine Extrazüge organisiert? Es herrscht überall die reine Anarchie. Helikopterlärm im Minutentakt. Das Ballonfestival ist ein Paradebeispiel dafür, wie so ein Anlass nicht organisiert werden sollte. Mein Fazit: Konzeptlos. Es lohnt sich nicht das Ballonfestival zu besuchen.

Ich war am Sonntag vor Ort. Die Organisation ist eine Katastrophe! Bereits um 9 Uhr herrschte ein Verkehrschaos. Eintritt von 15 Chf kann man sich sparen, da das Gelände sehr klein ist und die Besucher sich von der anderen Seite, ohne zu bezahlen, auf das Gelände geschlichen haben. Kaum Möglichkeit sich ein warmes Getränk zu kaufen. Gegen 12 Uhr wollte ich nach Hause. Spontan wurden Ausfahrten gesperrt und die Strassen zu Parkplätzen umfunktioniert. Um 12 Uhr stand man schon kilometerweit im Stau und das obwohl ich nach Hause wollte. Knapp 40 km Umweg habe ich fahren müssen. So eine schlechte Organisation habe ich noch nie gesehen. Schade.

We were not lucky with the weather, and the balloons were not flying that day. Only the helicopters were in service, which we found rather expensive ( 65chf for 5min flight per person)There was nothing much to do in the village. Maybe we will be luckier next year.

Don’t come by car. 4 h of traffic for not being able to get there after. the guys doing traffic making us drive around blocking the center. Never again
