SIS Swiss International School

Deficient staff. I consider it to be the worst school our child have ever attended. Don't even think about it if you have a child with special needs. The school is basically money making machine for foreigners that are too scare to enroll their kids in the Swiss public school or that do not have the resources to pay the real" International school in Basel."

Mein Sohn geht nun seit zwei Jahren an die SIS Basel. Er ist überglücklich. Er liebt den Unterricht in beiden Klassen (e/d). Jeden Morgen geht er voller Vorfreude in die Klasse.Auch die Nachmittagsbetreuung ist sehr Empfehlenswert. Ein dickes Lob an Frau Wioland und ihr Team.

I have attended SIS for the last 14 years and graduated in 2020. This school has prepared me very well for the challenges at university I have encountered until now (2nd year student)I am studying business at the university of st.gallen and have been able to utilize the knowledge learned to my advantage.Attending this school is a great investment for a successful future.

I have attended SIS from the 6th grade up until Graduation. Throughout my years at this school, I have acquired great knowledge in all fields taught and have learned to apply those in my day to day life as well as in my further education. When I first arrived to SIS, I had very little proficiency in English and German and now several years later, I am happy to say that I have become trilingual. Bilingual education has proved to be one of the greatest assets in my life so far, from integrating into Swiss society and to be able to freely converse with internationals. I always have found the teachers to be extremely supportive of the students and to create an enjoyable classroom atmosphere. The fact that it is a relatively small institution makes it very family-like and allows students to strive and seek support in ways I could not imagine other schools being like. The network that I have built over the course of my primary and secondary school studies makes SIS special - today I still see myself interacting with current students, alumni and teachers. I have graduated in 2021 and now study at the University of St Gallen (HSG), thanks to my bilingual Matura certificate. Wishing all the best to the staff, students, and the prospective students!

If you are a nice person, you should never let your son/daughter to come this school. This school is hell for kids

My son and daughter are at SIS for past 18 months and they both love it. We moved from USA and they adapted nicely!! Very friendly staff. Highly recommend if you are liking for bilingual curriculum.

Both my kids have attended SIS Basel and have enjoyed their time there. The teachers were welcoming and what as parents loved was the communication with the teachers. We also really loved the director. Mr. Wulfer is a wonderful director and was always very professional as well as kind.

I absolutely love SIS!!! And I am saying this as a student there. It is fun and a enthusiastic place to be. The teachers treat you as a family, and are carrring and supportive

Terrific staff and growing enrollment, the strength of SIS is its bilingual program, with alternating German and English days. We have two kids here, now in 2nd and 5th grade, and are very pleased.
