Ein tolles kleines Städtchen. Sehr idyllisch. Ein schöner Ort um zu verweilen, den Tag zu geniessen. Der mittelalterliche Charme geht mit den diversen Souvenir-Ständen und der touristischen Ausrichtung etwas verloren.

Amazing little town. Has a real charm and beauty. We came for the cheese but found so much more. The town looks like it has been frozen in time. The small castle there is also lovely. We ended up spending more time than planned. Prices are a bit more expensive compared to other places, but not by much. Do note that you have to pay for parking and police officers do give tickets. Parking feeisn’t that high.

Gruyère medieval city nice to visit, lots of places to eat, to stay, museums and the castle. There's so much going on in a relatively small place, and if you like fondue, go there to enjoy some delicious treats!

I’ve mostly had great experiences at tourism offices across Switzerland but here was totally different. The young lady was so arrogant that it was embarrassing continuing the conversation. Left without getting the info I was after, hopefully when you visit you’ll get someone humble who’s excited about sharing knowledge rather than taking you for a fool.

Sehr herziges, kleines und historisches Städchen - wie aus einem Bilderbuch. Wirklich schön anzuschauen, jedoch ist es sehr touristisch und auf den Massentourismus ausgelegt, sodass der eigentliche Charme verloren geht. Die Souvenirshops passen einfach nicht wirklich in das Stadtbild". Dennoch einen Besuch wert

Even though it is a village, Gruyeres should be on everyone's list! As expected it attracts a lot of tourists because of its charm.The streets, the small restaurants and cafés, tje castle, the chocolate shop, the cheese factory (this one is very close to the train station, therefore not exactly in the city). Great place to walk and to enjoy nature.

Very pretty city but also very touristy. There are lots of things to do here. You can walk the cobblestone streets, visit the chapels and the Chateau, have a bite to eat at several nice restaurants, shop for souvenirs and gifts, explore a little, and people watch. They also seem to have special events at times. When we went there were lots of people in traditional wear, armor, and renaissance type costumes.
