They're great at one thing, and that's meat on a stone. Not fancy, kinda hole-in-the-wall feel, but amazing horse steak. Yes horse. More tender than the beef steak. The price is fair and worth it for great quality.

Casual place. The tables are a but cramped but that's OK. The decorations are old fashioned, which makes a bit of atmosphere. Don't go there for lunch if you need to see customers afterwards, you'll smell grilled meat for the remaining of the day.Now the food: there's a big selection of various original Cordon Bleu recipes, all home-made. The one I had was tasty and my friends said the same thing about theirs. The only thing is that mine was way smaller than the others, I don't know why. Maybe the recipe? A defect that proves everything is home-made? I don't know but I was disappointed, hence -1 star to what I would have given normally.There was also an option for a piece of various red meat served on a very hot slab of rock, so you can cook each mouthful the way you like. It's fun. My friends who had this told me the meat was good but not exceptional.There doesn't seem to be many options for healthy food otherwise :).

We went for dinner at Eisenhof on a Tuesday. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the meat and cordon bleu. The place was not too full and service was fluid. This is quite a Swiss restaurant. Some say it has the best horse meat in Zurich, which is a very traditional Swiss type of meat

Super urchiges Restaurant! Ein absolutes Muss für jeden Fleischliebhaber. Sehr freundliches Personal. Am besten immer reservieren!! Nicht günstig, aber Gutes hat seinen Preis.

Bedienung: Auf ersten Blick tönt die Bedienung einbischen unsympathisch aber danach mit meine freund sehr freundliche hahaha..Essen: FeinnnPlatz: Holz, und traditionell als Schweiz altmodische.. es gefällt mirPreis: es geht.. wir habe eine Vorspeise geteilt, 2x Rindsfilet auf dem Stein, und eine Dessert plus Getränke wir haben 127.- bezahlt.Ihr müssen unbedingt probieren.

The Rindsfillet was absolutelly amazing. I love the hot stone concept as well. You can cook it the wayy you want and you can never send a complain to the kitchen that the cook on the meat was not perfect. The service was also really nice and helpful to people like me who have never used a hot stone in a steak house. I will definitely come back here again.
