Les Gorges de la Vièze

Wonderful short hike with a steep accent at the end to reach the bridge

Nice walk, with tunnel and bridge

Not easy to find parking space before go to this place.The parking will be in the city (near roundabout), then you have to walk until you see the sign and the picture on the wall (see the photo).On the spring, you can easily find « l’ai des ours » (in French) or „bärlauch“ (in German)You can do picnic here, near the river.

Eine wirklich sehr schöne, luftige und charmante Hängebrücke. Und mit 56 Meter Höhe auch nicht ganz ohne.....

Great short hike (roughly 1.5hr if you stop at all the good spots), and rewarding in the end with the walk bridge!

Not for small children. Advanced level for hiking.

O mais difícil foi mesmo encontrá-las uma vez que a morada no Google Maps não está correta. O ideal é ir até à ponte velha na vila de Monthey e estacionar no parque mesmo ao pé da ponte. No Google Maps chama-se “Parking Vieux Pont”. Depois a entrada para as Gorges fica à direita do estacionamento. As Gorges são muito lindas com umas subidas mais íngreme, exige alguma condição física, tem também um túnel com interruptores nas entradas. E no fim tem a ponte suspensa, muito assustadora. No final da ponte seguimos para a esquerda e descemos de novo à vila, acabando de novo junto à ponte. Demoramos no total 1h.

A beautiful nature walk, park near the old bridge downtown and walk up from there. Not too hard to walk but you better be fit... It is worth it!!!
