We spend an amazing new year's evening here last year. I will never forget the amazing night we had. Wonderful people.

IMPORTANT! ensure you use the directions that Tim has laid out. The GPS may lead you to a dead end on a different route. Make sure you go through Flums and follow the marked signage after Portals along the winding road toward Sässliwiese. Parking is on either side if the road before the home stead.Tim and Sue are lovely hosts! They welcome you with open arms and a cuppa tea.They have magnificent views of the mountains and towns below, offering local knowledge and places to see.The house is over 120 years old and was built to host people who believed mountain air was a remedy to things such as tuberculosis... I agree, the air is clean, there is no noise about and the night sky is absolutely breathtaking. Truly serene.There is hiking trails and places to photograph so do not forget your camera.I am quite tall and i find the roof height on the second floor amusing. The ground floor has plenty of head height, including a library with board games and Tim's collection of computer books and Lego.The kitchen is up for use, just make sure you bring some food beforehand as it is quite a hike to the town below.The house has all the amenities and comforts that are needed, including a full private bathroom, a shared kitchen, outdoor seating, library, sun room with a exceptional view, heating in all rooms, balcony (in some rooms).If you are traveling nearby and need a mountain escape, look no further. This is a must visit.I will be back, that's guys.

The views are breathtaking. The hosts are very lovely and welcoming also. The property is wonderful.Take care when driving up here though and just follow the signs to Sässliwiese once you drive through Flums and take the left at the Flumserei. The GPS had initially directed us another way through Mels and it had taken us to a dead-end/walking track.

Fantastic place with fantastic people. Highly recommend. We love the place.

An absolutly fantastic, beautiful place to be. It's also nice to hike or to bike up there..
