Voortreffelijke bruschetta gegeten, gevolgd door de penne aurora (penne met scampis). Goed bereid en zeer smakelijk. Daarbij een rode wijn. Gezellige ambiente en ook druk bezocht. Een aanrader. Ideaal om hier te dineren als je logeert in het ernaast gelegen Hotel Grand Pre.

Es ist ein sehr schöner ruhiger Ort mit einem ganz nettem heimgefüll.Und das Essen ist einfach köstlich sie haben auch noch eine reiche Auswahl an Pizza.

Ici, un simple plat de pâtes vous permet de goûter pleinement aux saveurs de l'Italie; avec, en prime, l'amabilité et le sourire de tout le personnel. La terrasse est agréable et fleurie. Nous n'avons pas été incommodés par la route, que nous avons à peine remarquée.

Oh little I knew before ordering the 'café glacé' as a dessert. But first things first. La Cena is an Italian restaurant in Marly, a 14 minute bus ride away from Fribourg train station. The first impression after being seated: casual, welcoming, not crowded nor empty, very relaxed atmosphere. Perfect to spend a nice evening. Since it's autumn, I opted for 'la chasse', wild duck to be more precise and fagottini to start. Both dishes were delicious and highly recommended. All of this combined with a bottle of devilish Pinot Noir called Lucifer. But after all the good food there was still this temptation... for that little extra. Tiramisu... or café glacé... hmm tiramisu... maybe.. no, let's keep that for next time. By the way, thanks to the friendly waitress to be so patient while I was going through my lengthy decision process. But hey, café glacé it was... but the little extra turned out to be a very big extra. Oh, generous they are, and struggling I was... but I succeeded in eating it all...mmm. I even found some space left for a limoncello... or two. Overall, a very pleasant experience. So if you're in the neighborhood of Fribourg/Marly and want to have some tasty food in a casual setting: La Cena is definitely worth a visit.Update:Ok, I really had to try the tiramisu. So I went back. Obviously, not just to eat a dessert but also to try another dish. This time I opted for a piece of Pumba (a.k.a. 'sanglier' or a wild - well, not so wild anymore once served on a plate - p|g) and risotto as a starter. As expected, both dishes were really good. Although I personally preferred the wild duck which I had last time. Regardless, I don't think you can make any bad choices when it comes to 'la chasse'. But back to that tiramisu... well, for sure it's less of a challenge compared to the huge café glacé. Even better, I think I need to stop claiming that I don't like tiramisu 'tout court'. The chef of la Cena has proven that I actually do like it... I just wished it had the same size of the café glacé because... it's delicious!Update 14.02.2023:The food at La Cena is consistently good, tasty, original Also for special menus like the one on Valentine’s day. Already looking forward to the next visit.

Petit et accueillant restaurant a Marly. Une trouvaille qui fait que le séjour à Marly soit top. On ne le dirait pas depuis l'extérieur, mais une fois on est rentré à l'intérieur on sent l'ambiance et les odeurs de l'Italie.Un accueil souriant de la part de Crina et un service agréable avec conseils personnalisés.Les pizzas saint vraiment délicieuses (pas de photo car mangées trop vite!!). Les pâtes sont al dente" et la viande au point. Les desserts sont faits maison et on sent la qualité dans les ingrédients. La panna cotta est faite maison et succulente.La présentation des plats est soignée.Ambiance agréable et restaurant à visiter. Recommandé bien sûr !"

Celà fait plusieurs fois que ce lieu est un de mes favoris. L'accueil parfait, les plats et les vins sont extraordinaires ! La cuisine italienne est au rendez-vous ! Les fruits de mer, les risotto, les viandes, le Tiramisu maison....incroyables ! Ce soir j'ai pris du bar en papillote...délicieux ! Mille mercis et à bientôt !
