Haus Justinus

Zurich isn't a cheap place to stay .if your stay is longer this can be one of the centre place to stay Haus Justinus. There single occupancy rooms may be too small but large room was good enough to stay for long period. There was room fridges and tea coffee maker too. You can use the kitchen to make your own food incase you donot find right food or your favourite one . Double occupancy they charges 125 SF per night on bed and breakfast. They don't have any system to pay with cards in advance or any online payment . So we have to cash for all five nights

Viví en este lugar por poco más de un año, lugar totalmente recomendado para estudiantes y visitantes. Básicamente todos los estudiantes son extranjeros (5 continentes en un solo lugar), el lugar permite actividades de integración y socialización. Me gusto el lugar, puesto que permite la privacidad, el intercambio cultural, el uso de áreas comunes. Además a ello, entre tanto extranjero, se tiene un soporte común para trámites de visado, planificación de estudios académicos, permisos de residencia, recomendación de turismo y hasta aprendizaje de idiomas si es que coincides con un amigo que esté interesado en lo mismo.Hoy, ya habiendo dejado hace dos años Justinus Haus (la casa), tengo bonitos recuerdos de ese lugar, mis estudios de Master en el ETH-Zúrich de por sí fueron geniales, pero estar en la casa definitivamente fue un valor agregado que no esperé tener.

Nice place with a great view

Schöne Zimmer mit atemberaubende Aussicht. Das Managementteam ist sehr kompetent. Die Rezeption ist nett und Hilfsreich. Aber unbedingt auf die Öffnungszeiten der Rezeption achten, außer dieser Zeit können die Gäste keine Hilfe bekommen für bsp Zimmer nr vergessen, Schlüssel vergessen usw.

I booked a room at the beginning of the year to stay one semester (from April till August) but at the end I’ve never been in Zurich because the current sanitary emergency.Nevertheless the house’s team were very helpful in understanding the situation, they gave me the needed time to decide whether to keep or not the room and at the end, when I decided to cancel the reservation, they were very honest about the refund of the deposit.So I’ve never been in the St. Justin Studenthouse, but I can say that this is managed by very professional, attentive and helpful people.

War zwecks Überbrückung vor einem neuen Wohnungseinzug ein paar Wochen dort einquartiert. Das Haus verfügt nicht nur über eine Top-Lage in einem ruhigen Quartier, sondern auch über überraschend moderne Zimmer, vor allem für kurzzeitige Gäste. Günstige Preise inkl. Frühstücksbuffet. Positiver Studenten-Groove.

Meine Unterkunft hier war sehr günstig. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, aber sauber. Die Lage war hervorragend, man hatte einen super Blick über die Stadt und kam mit der Seilbahn schnell in die Stadt.

The management of this place is a collective of greedy individuals whose only goal is to maximize their profits and not care about the tenants. There is only one working washing machine in the entire building, while there are probably closer to 50 students living. It is a pain to try to do laundry no matter when you try to do it. They recently just replaced soap dispensers and paper towels with hand sanitizer dispensers in the bathrooms. So your only option after pooping is to use the hand sanitizer and then wash your hands probably with soap in your own sink. The kitchen is always crowded as there are not enough ranges and prep area for all the students.The only nice thing about this place is the location. Stay away if you want some decency in your living situation.

Really nice place with breakfast included, really great student atmosphere and good prices for rooms.The only thing I do not really like it is Seilbahn, it breaks down to often and you need it to get down the mountain. But the house itself, great!

Stayed here for 3 years during my studies at ETH Zürich. Amazing students and friendly atmosphere. Sometimes hard to deal with the management/staff. Note that the rooms are quite old and the kitchen is shared by 60+ people. The location is on top of the “Zuriberg” and the only connection to the city is a cable car which very often gets broken. So be prepared to regularly climb a mountain (20 min. very steep ascent) when transportation stops working.
