I completed the SKN practical class as well as joining in social walks and fun classes. I saw great benefits and improvements in my dog's behavior. All done with kindness and no stress approach to training. Patricia is very skilled and patient and we learned a great deal.I would highly recommend her methods of training, to anyone in the Zurich area.

Would recommend in terms of coverage and competence. I learnt a lot, and appreciated the many tips and materials. However, my personal experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the oftentimes patronizing attitudes. I would have wished for a more positive learning environment.

We have been training with Patricia for over a year, which started with the mandatory SKN course. Even before we officially started with the training, she had given us good advice in regards to the puppy we were about to acquire. She's detailed, takes the time to explain the hows and actively follows up with our progress. We highly recommend Patricia and Amicanis.

I highly recommend going to Patricia for your dog training needs. She provides classes in both German and English.I found her when looking to do the mandatory SKN theory course in English, she offers an extended 7 hour version (instead of 4) which is great, she's packed it with very thoughtful and useful material, including some interaction with her own dog.She makes a point of teaching dog body language, so you can understand their interactions with you and other dogs, which is extremely valuable even if you don't get a dog yourself. She focused on positive reinforcement training, and even showed us some free shaping, which was really cool to see.Additionally she's very patient and clearly care a lot about the dogs well-being and your relationship with them. She happily answered my very long list of questions and even allowed me to come observe one of her practical sessions!

I did not like my experience in this dog school. We have completed 3 training courses: basic, advanced and advanced+ (18 lessons in total) + made a few social walks. Looking back, I would have changed the trainer much sooner.Positive:Excellent timing, always started and finished on time;Good for learning tricks / fun stuff;Good location, accessible by public transport;Shop where you can by anything needed for the class.Negative:Customer experience — I had to wait for email responses and even to duplicate emails a few times in order to receive a reply.Training methods — I didn't like that the training was based on food reinforcement and I didn't learn about other ways to motivate / educate my dog. My dog is not food motivated and I was asked to find better food (even though I had really the best I could find on the market) and when it didn't help, I was advised to feed my dog outside only. This not only didn't work (my dog was not interested in food outside as well) but also brought a lot of stress in my dog's life. Me and other students were often advised to not feed the dog before the training. In my personal opinion, food is a basic need of any living creature and dogs should receive their food without stress to that it can be digested properly. Especially young dogs that need micro- and macronutrients to grow. My main disappointment is that instead of acknowledging that food is not what motivates my dog and any informational help about other training methods, I was advised to feed the dog outside even though my dog just didn't eat even 50% of his daily food amount then while being in a growth phase (we were visiting this school since my dog was 5 months old till he was 13-15 months old). I would appreciate when dog trainers were more open and helped to analyse the dog in order to help owners to understand what motivates the dog and what are the best ways of teaching them. In amicanis I felt like no other approaches should exist and that my dog is broken because he doesn't want to eat on training sessions.

Patricia is great trainer. We were looking for an English speaking one for our dog. The course was great and very useful. We also thoroughly enjoy the social walks which help teach our dog how to interact with others.

Es funktioniert tatsächlich auch online! Wir sind schon länger bei Patricia und sind begeistert von ihren professionellen, gut strukturierten und sehr motivierenden Trainingseinheiten. Die schnelle Umstellung auf Online-Training (wegen Corona) hat uns wieder bestätigt mit wie viel Herzblut Patricia diese Hundeschule führt.Es könnte sogar sein, dass Patricia, aus unserer Sicht, die Online-Kurse nach der Krise weiterführen sollte, da es doch auch einige nennenswerte Vorteile gibt.- Keine An- & Rückfahrt- für den Hund gewohnte Umgebung- hohe Konzentration unseres Hundes da keine Ablenkung- Nützliche Tipps, Tricks & Videos auf der Facebook-GruppeAus diesem Grund haben wir uns auch gleich auf einen weiterführenden Online-Kurs angemeldet. So oder so, die Trainings bei Patricia sind auf alle Fälle sehr zu empfehlen.Danke für den tollen Einsatz an das Amicanis Team
