On our Swiss Adventure we stayed at the Hotel National Zermatt. We had a view of the Matterhorn from our room balcony that overlooked the courtyard below.I LOVED the pool & spa, being a swimmer for therapy on my bad back, I spent as much time in the pool as possible in between our explorations. The pool is fabulous! It has secret buttons that activate therapies to help rid your aches & pains.The village of Zermatt is quaint. The only cars allowed are local vehicles and they are electric so they don't make noise... so you need to be aware when you are walking on the narrow roadways so you don't get bumped.We took the gondolas to the observation center of the Matterhorn. Just WOW and also so sad :( with the glaciers melting. So you better hurry and go see this before it is no more due to climate change and global warming.

We stayed in this hotel in August 2022 and were so happy with the excellent service.We got an upgrade to a family room and our daughter was so happy with her own space and pirate hammock. Other than that the lady at the reception gave us endless tips and ideas and thanks to her we had a very lovely picknick on the mountain while looking at the stars apearing. Our daughter could not stop talking about the magical picknick ;-)Rooms and service are lovely, swimmingpool was fab! Thank you!

We felt really confortable with our baby. The hotel is definitively family friendly. The team is amazing. The bar is great. The pool and spa is just awesome. There is a nice playing room for kids near the bar and a nice small pool for babies... And we loved the food!We will come back for sure!

Excellent location, very nicely appointed rooms, great room view and very friendly staff. Just finished my stay this week, and it was amazing. Had a family room for 3 of us, and had plenty of space. The netting/hammock across the second floor was a big hit with our son and quite comfortable. Ski room with overnight boot warmers was great, and very welcome for the morning dressing. Although the service in the bar and restaurant for dinner could have been more attentive, the bar area with piano and live music is cozy and the breakfast was perfect before a day of skiing! No issues with our comfort due to covid measures, and staff was excellent!

We arrived for 2 nites with our Collette tour. The breakfast was perfect with lots of choice and well presented. We had a very clean family sized room which provided a 2nd bathroom, and 3 single beds up the stairs to a loft. It also had a big net which prevented kids from falling from the loft! We had 2 balconies, both with a beautiful view of the Matterhorn. We used the amazing wellness pool twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend it for it’s many unique features including the hot tub, the water jet for exercise and the massage chairs (in the pool!). The temperature of the water was perfect. The staff were very attentive and friendly including at breakfast time. This hotel comes highly recommended.

We stayed at Hotel National early March . The staff was extremely friendly and helpful . We were half board which I would recommend highly as the food was delicious, the staff amazing ( special mention to the chef who cooked delicious varied meals every day , Laurent who runs the restaurant and is so full of positive energy and Laure who was exceptionally attentive to details , very professional and always smiling ) . The beautifully refurbished room we stayed in had an amazing view . Sauna and pool are also brand new . Highly recommend.

Definitiv kein 4 1/2 Sternen Hotel. Braucht dringend ein bisschen Liebe, Revision und Preisanpassung. Auch jmd der Dampfbäder repariert.

Nice hotel, clean rooms. Train every 20 minutes right next to rooms but stops running around 9pm. Lift to slopes across the street open during ski season. Nice cold pool and small hot tub. 5 minute walk to town center. Views of the Matterhorn.

Service second to none. Staff can not do enough for you. Food excellent.bedt pillows.Easy access to all ski stations as well the town centre and train station.
