Had a wonderful experience during my 1 night stay @Edelweiss; dinner was delicious and Rico & Philippa are very welcoming genuine hosts I couldn't have asked for more. The rooms and facilities are simple but spotless and everything you need was there. Will definitely be back, thank you both!

We hiked here on our way to Trift. We stopped for a quick snack at 9 a.m. the carrot cake, French fries and homemade iced tea were great! Service was friendly. The views are wonderful. It is a moderate hike to get up to since it's uphill the entire time, but it was well worth it.

Despite the rather demanding hike up, what you get to experience once in Edelweiss is really worth the pain and effort! The views are stunning, the hosts always friendly and welcoming, and the food yummy. You must try their homemade ice teas and carrot cake - they’re popular for a reason!

I wanted to have a beer and enjoy the view on my way down after a long hike. However, the waiter/owner’s attitude made me feel uncomfortable almost immediately. Before I even had a chance to sit down, the guy started telling me there is charge just for entering the restaurant terrace.

Sehr schönes Restaurant und ein ausgezeichneter Ort, um sich nach einer Wanderung zu entspannen. Der Service war sehr gut und das Personal war sehr, sehr nett. Die Rösti mit Ei und Käse kann ich wärmstens empfehlen.

My sister and I had a fabulous overnight stay here a few days ago with spectacular views, a delicious dinner of Erich's homemade broccoli quiche, comfy beds, hot showers and breakfast on the terrace. Thoroughly recommend ; Phillippa and Erich are so friendly and helpful - fabulous hosts. :). (Bit of a hike up to reach it but totally worth it)

Edelweiss Restaurant in Zermatt, ist sehr zu empfehlen. Nach ca. 45 Minuten Aufstieg wird man belohnt. Gemütlich, freundlich, guter selbstgemachter Kuchen und herrliche Lage.

Amazing little spot! The lady running it was super friendly and very kind. I was only stopping by for lunch while hiking but very happy I did as the view of Zermatt, food, and beer cannot be beat! The Swiss potato dish with Braut Wurst was the best I’ve had so far. Well priced as well with comparison to others in town. Would love to stay the night there sometime.
