Sicuramente il passaggio più impegnativo del mio TMB, anche a causa dello zaino carico dato che l’ho fatto in selfsupported. Ho visto persone in serie difficoltà sia in salita (io ho salito il versante da Champex) che in discesa. Non so se sia anche il più bello…il TMB è tutto di una bellezza sconvolgente. Consiglio: non sottovalutate le difficoltà in montagna. Buone camminate a tutti

Lieu magnifique mais qui n'est pas accessibles à tout le monde. La montée est difficile mais la vue au sommet en vaut la peine.

Breathtaking hiking area. We started in Champex-Lac and went to Fenêtre d'Arpette at 2665m. The saddle provides great views of the glacier, the surrounding mountains and the valleys. The last part is quite steep but otherwise it is not too strenuous. It took us about 6 hours with 2 food breaks.If you keep the volume down you might be able to spot some marmots, they are coming quite close (never pet or feed the wildlife though).Overall the trip was completely worth it and we had a great time there.PS: the tourist office in Champex-Lac did a great job informing us about the possibilities and current conditions.

Heel mooi zicht als je hier bent. Je wordt beloond! Kijk vooral naar de foto's. Moet wel zeggen. De laatste honderden meters klimmen wordt wel een uitdaging. Door losse rotsen partijen. Of sneeuw. (Waar je soms met een been in verdwijnt als je zo lomp bent als ik)

Very beautiful scenery and a nice view on the glacier. However, the path is not fun at all. The path is made of very skiddy gravel, there's a section where you have to climb over a load of boulders which is very slow, and there's rock scrambles every 5 seconds. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with a heavy backpack.

Très beau mais le glacier a bien récupérer depuis les années 90Le chemin à la montée et à la descente est toujours aussi pénible...

A really steep peak from both sides, part of the TMB-trial. Amazing when you get to the top. Not recommended when the weather is bad.
