Direkt an der Stadtmauer, schön gelegen. Parkplätze sind eher rar. Für mich war das Bett deutlich zu hart, Zimmer war sauber, wenn auch schon bisschen in die Jahre gekommen .Ansonsten sehr nettes Personal, Frühstück ist okay, könnte aber noch ein wenig mehr Auswahl vertragen.

A little further from the center of town compared to other hotels, but nice. By the old city walls, and the rooms are decorated in a subtle art deco style. With the window open I could hear the sheep in the field over the road, which was nice. The staff are pleasant and the rooms are maintained well. Overall I enjoyed staying here.

Great place to visit Fribourg.. rooms a little outdated.... But they started a project to refurbish the hotel. Staff super friendly, breakfast more then great. Close to the old town.. very nice place to visit

Generally the hotel is good, clean and comfortable with a near city location. Rooms were warm and breakfast was good.Staff seemed unfortunately a little bit distracted and also forgot to deliver envelopes that were left for me and my company.

Nice small hotel. The rooms are too small, almost no space where to move. The service is good. The breakfast needs to be improved.

Quite area, good size of the rooms, good prices for what you get and not far to walk to the old town or to Fribourg Poya train Stadion. The breakfast could have been better. A bit long to walk from/to the main train station with luggage.

Leider bin ich mit meiner Hotelbuchung überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Ich habe früh gebucht und am Tag vor der Anreise beim Hotel Centre Remparts By Mercure angerufen, um mich zu erkundigen, wann ich zeitlich einchecken kann bzw. ob es ein Problem sei, wenn ich erst nach dem Nachtessen einchecke. Mir wurde versichert, das sei kein Problem, die Rezeption sei besetzt. Der Hotelmitarbeiter hat mich noch gefragt, wann ich ankomme; ich habe ihm mitgeteilt, dass ich zwischen 21:00 Uhr und 22:00 Uhr ankommen werde. Er meinte, er habe dies so vermerkt, das sei ok so.Als ich tags darauf pünktlich beim Hotel eintraf, wurde mir – ohne Entschuldigung (!) – eröffnet, das Hotel sei überbucht und ich hätte kein Zimmer mehr in diesem Hotel, sondern in einem anderen Hotel. Das andere Hotel war nicht mehr ein 4-Sterne-Hotel, sondern nur noch ein 2-Sterne-Hotel. Die Google-ratings waren schlechter. Zudem befand sich das Hotel am Stadtrand (mehr als eine halbe Stunde Fussmarsch ins Zentrum) und nicht mehr in der zentralen Lage. Ich teilte dem Hotelmitarbeiter mit, dass ich tags zuvor ja noch angerufen habe und mir mitgeteilt wurde, es sei alles ok. Dazu meinte dieser relativ frech: «Ja, wir haben ja auch erst heute überbucht.» Alles Intervenieren blieb erfolglos und ich wurde mit dem Taxi ins Ersatzhotel «verfrachtet». Dort angekommen, wusste an der Rezeption zuerst niemand, dass ich ein Zimmer haben soll. Erst nach weiteren Abklärungen konnte sich das klären.Bei meiner (frühzeitigen) Buchung habe ich mich aufgrund der Lage und der Ratings bewusst gegen das mir am Schluss zur Verfügung gestellte Zimmer im dezentral gelegenen Ersatzhotel" entschieden
