The food was nice, not exceptional (except the Veloute of mushrooms which was REALLY good).The waiter wasn’t nice at all, but thank god that there was a lovely lady who took care of us.It’s a little bit expensive for what you get. As a summary, if you feel like trying it, try to get a promo in La Fourchette first.

Where do you find beef cheek prepared the traditional way: à l'ancienne ? This place is a bit of an experience. It took me back in time to my grandma's cuisine. She was born in 1916. The food is not high-end cuisine, but it's traditional; that's why this place is a bit of an experience. The staff is very kind and attentive,and the ambiance is nice. Give it a try!

Overall a good experience at the Comptoir Canaille! The portions are pretty small and I would say not worth the full price. However we managed to book with the Fork and had a 50% discount. Using the Fork it's a pretty good quality/price/quantity ratio (not necessarily otherwise...).The plates on the pictures cost CHF 38-39 each; with the 50% discount less than CHF 20!The service is great. Probably the best one I have had in Geneva

Excellent spot. Service was amazing, very friendly and attentive staff. Steak tartare is highly recommended. Great for a relaxed lunch.

Can really recommend this place, so far my best dinning experience in Geneva, it's a traditional local restaurant, nothing fancy but the food is amazing and great ambience!!

We had an amazing night at Le Comptoir Canaille. From service to food, everything was simply perfect: the food was of high quality, the portions were good, and the waitresses were one by one super kind. We will definitely come back!

Very traditional French restaurant, food is good,we had escargot, stewed mushroom for starters, then we had a beef shank in dark source and beef stew with carrot and potato, and finished with a rhubarb pie. The whole meal was delicious. Staff were very friendly and they tried to explain the menu in English, which is highly appreciated!
