Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof Grindelwald

A very well setup 4Star hotel. Clean and comfortable. Room is fully equipped. Scenery from the room is great.Food is tasty.One thing that must seriously take immediate action is place anti slippery mat on the bath tub. The tub is extremely slippery. There’s no safety grab bar and only thing guest can use is hold on to the glass screen while climbing in and out of the tub. It’s a hazard.

Gorgeous place, we stayed at the new hotel rooms. My only complain was the service, absolutely unprofessional workers. It’s as if the customers presence is an inconvenience to them? Or is that the case for non-white customers.

Nice hotel with great view and convenient location. Friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Flexible arrangements. Child friendly, too. We got a wooden cot for our two year old child :-) the only one area for improvements needed in my opinion is lack of staff at dinner. We had dinner at Pinsa and we had to wait very long time…staff were too busy to notice our continued efforts to get their attention. But food was nice. Breakfast, too. I am puzzled to read reviews saying that the staff are racist. I am Asian but did not feel discriminated. Rather, I saw arrogant Asian customers without respect for others. For instance, an Asian lady was watching something in Chinese on her mobile without earphones at breakfast next to us, which I found disturbing. Another instance was a Chinese man who interrupted a receptionist who was already attending to another guest. Not only that, he was doing face time and talking loudly during the whole time he interrupted the receptionist and walking around the lobby. He was told to wait. This is not racism.

It's the worst service hotel i ever stayed!The room was given to us WITHOUT cleaning ! It's just as per how the last guest left the room! There are also NO proper apologies from the management! The chambermaids who came to clean up the room also showed us her unhappy face! So who is more unhappy?After cleaning up, the room was given a kettle which is not working and a coffee maker which was FULL of moulds!The toilet's flash can't stop flashing water and the service guy come into through the (closed ") door without knocking??Another very serious mistake is that they actually gave my lady tour leader a room with an existing guest! Imagine opening the door to a room and then a man walks out from the toilet?So the management seriously need to do something about their services else it will bring down all the "5 stars " quality of this hotel!"

The hotel staffs are really unprofessional, they were asking for fee for porter services, just because i’m booking through travel agent, in fact i’m only have 4 rooms with my family. They would like to charge money for porter services, so much for 5 star hotel rated.Secondly, my sister wants to have pre-wedding photo session the next day and needed iron for her dress. And the receptionist said it’s chargeable. Like what on earth iron is chargeable for hotel guests?That’s really weird, I’m having unpleasant experience for just staying 1 night in Grindelwald, despite the nice view of the hotel, the service is terrible, they treat you differently if you booked hotel through Travel Agent, what a discrimination of services

Dont expect this hotel to be a 5 star hotel. Location and building might be a 5 star. But services are as low as 1 star. If possible to zero. Rude staff. Unfriendly. Unhelpful. Racist or discrimination to asian.

My initial experience at this hotel was great. Rooms were spacious and comfortable however the pillows seemed practically empty. As if they only provided a pillow case without the pillows. It felt as if we were sleeping on nothing. After a terrible first night at the hotel, we requested a new pillow early on in the morning. I left two days after that request. A man took my request an old man who was chatting with his colleagues and quite unprofessional. Despite staying for another 48 hours after that request I never got my pillows.

Horrible service at the concierge in the evening. He was rude and was too lazy to answer any of our questions. He pretended that he had given us a room upgrade, but in reality that was the exact same suite we had booked online. Hotel’s location is convenient, but the property/facilities are super old. Overall, this hotel and its service is at best a three-star hotel.
