Nest Temporary Living, Steinentorstrasse

Short period temp flat, fully equipped and really clean.Apartments are small but very efficient. Nice terraces on top floor

Pros:- essential supplies for kitchen, laundry and bathroom are functional- overall clean- early check-in accommodatedCons:- VERY hot and humid in the room, windows need to be kept open all the time- VERY noisy Steinentorstrasse during the day (long-term construction of the street) and night (trems)- no balcony (despite advertisement)- no gym (despite advertisement)- outdated shower with cabin door that leaks- 1/3 hosts were friendly over the phone

Good place for short stay. Close to market and restaurants.

The apartment is super small, it has almost everything, but it is really small. It is central, but cannot open the window because the street is very noisy (also in the night). For some reasons, the building is super hot, so I would not recommend to go there in summer (especially like summer 2022). Everything else you might ask (another table…) is very expensive. The apartment itself is also very expensive. The cleaning service (once every other week) is okay, but anyway they don’t tell you when they come, so you can’t organise.The staff is very kind.

I was relocated here by my company and from the beginning I got this feeling I was living in a hotel room because it looks just like it. My apartment is very small. Some other colleagues for the same price got slightly bigger rooms but it is clearly still very overpriced. They will probably tell you, you are leaving at the heart of Basel. This is true and I enjoy it. It is also true that there is no air conditioner and, if you open the window, you will not be able to sleep at night because of the lousy bars and restaurants outside or the theater of the city. There is also no cellar in which you can leave your luggage. So on top of the room being very small, you will have to have them there (no that my rooms is already very crowded with the drying rack of your clothes because the wash machine works poorly). There is also no place to leave your bike. The cleaning service which comes every 2 weeks is basically just an excuse to charge you even more, they do not really do a good job but it is impossible to solve since it is not just one person cleaning but a company so you never know who to address. In summary, by Nest you are paying a lot for a mediocre service so better get somewhere else.
