Sapori Del Sud
In Basel gab es eine Zeit lang nicht sehr viele authentische Restaurants oder Läden. Viele gehören grösseren Firmen, haben ständig wechselndes Personal oder stark schwankende Qualität. Sapori Del Sud gehört zum anderen Lager. Familiär, freundlich, lecker. Gerne wieder :)

Food is super delicious and authentic for a great price - Plus, the staff is fun and very friendly. We always come back for Arrancini, Lasagne, Panzerotti and co.

We were only in Basel for a few hours and I feel so lucky we found this restaurant. INCREDIBLE!! The owner really brightened our day and made our trip memorable, so kind and welcoming. If you need to grab lunch in Basel come here!

delicious pastrami sandwich, also really like the lasagna, panzarote and arancini. They have a good selection of special drinks (try a chinotto). Prices are more than fair: chf10 for students for the lasagna and pastrami, chf12 for the others, payment by card possible.also s/o to the lovely owners, super kind. /juiceoramah

If you’re missing a NY pastrami sandwich, this has got to be the the only place in Switzerland to find it. As close to the real thing as it gets from this side of the pond! Also great service!

The best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had and the gelato is simply delicious. This place is as popular as the owner. If you lucky to find his mom when you visit, you might learn some Italian words. The old lady is very friendly, kind and welcoming.

After weeks of not finding a good sandwich shop while traveling, we arrived in Basel. This was our first meal here and I fell in love. The owner made us the best sandwiches ever! And he was super friendly. If I lived here, I’d be very fat. That’s a compliment.

This place is an amazing exception inside of Switzerland! Delicious and affordable food, great service with a smile! Would recommend to anyone desperate for a NY pastrami sandwich!
