Dr Filippo Scevola

Une catastrophe, je n’y remettrais plus jamais les pieds j’y suis aller 2x (700.- à 800.- CHF la consultation) et le dr Scevola se barre en vacance sans vous donner les résultats de vos examens ni même de médicaments... Je ne parle pas de la secrétaire qui passe son temps à vous appeler et vous baragouiner je ne sais quoi, pour au final ne pas être fichu de vous envoyer les factures dans les temps ! A éviter sérieusement

La vérité est très déçue, nous avons demandé un rendez-vous pour mon mari, une dame qui savait parler anglais était très sympathique. Nous sommes allés au rendez-vous, ils nous ont demandé un certain nombre de tests et ils ne nous ont plus rappelés, nous avons appelé et demandé à parler et une dame qui ne parlait pas anglais a répondu, elle nous a demandé d'appeler à un autre moment, elle n'a pas donné nous une solution, nous lui avons envoyé un email qui nous a dit que cela faisait deux mois et nous n'avons toujours pas reçu les résultats des examens que nous avons déjà payés. J'ai rappelé il y a trois semaines et la dame qui parle anglais m'a dit qu'elle me les enverrait dans la semaine et c'est la date et nous n'avons reçu aucun résultat. La vérité a été une communication épuisante et je ne sais plus comment demander les résultats des examens dont nous avons besoin.

After 30 years suffering gastro disorders I found the best doctor! Besides his medical skills, Dr Scevola is also kind and gentle what is important when visiting a medical gabinet. The personnel are just perfect and the appointments are esealy booked. I made an endoscopie that went very well and my problems are now dully treated. Perfect!

Je suis Française et j’ai pris rendez-vous avec le Dr Scevola pour passer une gastroscopie. Le rendez-vous à été rapide (contrairement à la France), très professionnel et comme j’allaite je n’ai pas voulu faire d’anesthésie légère, l’examen était rapide et sans douleur malgré mon appréhension. La secrétaire est également très sympathique. Je reviens en toute confiance pour ma colposcopie programmée prochainement.

Je recommande vivement un docteur très professionnel et compétant très a l'écoute j'ai fait une coloscopie j'étais vraiment content.

I do not recommend at all Dr. Scevola for a few reasons:1) The entire clinic has two persons, I presume to save money; the doctor and his assistant. The assistant takes calls/appointments, prepares bills and also assists with the procedures (nurse duties). Because of this, during my endoscopy preparation, she was taking calls on her mobile. This is also an unsanitary practice for a medical procedure!2) I had three appointments, two of them were unnecessary. During the consultation time, during all the visits, the doctor was taking calls for other patients. This lead to him not paying attention to my prognosis as a patient.3) The endoscopy procedure appeared to have been done very quickly and without attention.I visited another gastroenterologist in Geneva eventually because I did not want to go back to Dr. Scevola again. My current doctor said that they would not consider Dr. Scevola's procedures and diagnoses reliable exactly for the reasons I mentioned above.During my last visit, I told Dr. Scevola about my disappointment and he replied that he would like to improve his services. That's a good thing to say but I doubt his honesty. I advise people to see someone else and avoid this clinic. I think the positive reviews are from some long term patients or the doctor's magic! You can contemplate why Dr. Scevola has readily available appointments and for his colleagues there is at least a few weeks of waiting time! This is not about the doctor's ability or knowledge but rather about his attitude and how he chooses to conduct his business.My intention for this review is not to harm anybody's business but to help potential patients, based on my honest experience. I know Dr. Scevola will read this review and may have something to reply; after all this is a free society.EDIT:I'm sorry if my review is offensive. Perhaps the doctor has some points but I stand by my opinion, and I am concluding nothing here. There is one 5-star review under the doctor's name for some reason. The severe reduction of staff due to the Covid situation is not believable to me because I have been to other medical facilities that were properly staffed during the shut down. Justifying that taking calls during consultation as a part of normalcy is unacceptable to me, unless it is an absolute emergency which was clearly not the case; this is the first time I am hearing that this is ok. Also, the nurse cannot take calls on the cell phone while wearing gloves and preparing for an endoscopy; there is a risk of secondary contamination from the dirty cellphone. I I waited several months before posting a negative review because only recently my experience was corroborated by another physician whom I am seeing currently. Overall, I do not trust this clinic. It is up to the future patients what they want to do. May be they will have a very good experience, I do not know. It is just that I did not.

I visited Dr. Scevalo last week with my long standing acidity and gastric problem. He speaks English and was kind, attentive and empathetic. He quickly scheduled the gastroscopy which was quick n painless. Also did the intolerance test. I am currently undergoing medications prescribed by him and hope to get cured soon. His assistant was also very kind and efficient. Would surely recommend him.
