Hüftspezialist Prof. Dr. med. Karl Stoffel, PhD

I initially saw Prof Stoffel for a second opinion as I was not clear on whether the surgery suggested by the first doctor would improve my symptoms and a particularly invasive surgery with a long recovery had also been mentioned. I have been so pleased with my treatment at Bethesda under Prof Stoffel and his team (specifically Dr Ismailidis). They took an approach of starting with the basics and finding the root cause and working from there, with surgery being the last option rather than the first. I specifically liked the fact that I knew what was being suggested and why. In my case, the big surgery suggested by the first doctor was absolutely not necessary. I have just had a hip arthroscopy at Bethesda and have been amazed at how quickly recovery has been. I am also impressed at how small/tidy my 2 scars are even for arthroscopy. They will have disappeared in a few months, I am sure.In summary, don't go anywhere else!
