Hochwertiges Kaufhaus/ kostenlose Toilette/ freundliche MitarbeiterWir waren heute Mittag hier Shoppen, alles war wirklich sehr hochwertig und ordentlich gehalten. Es gab eine gute und große Auswahl an beliebten Marken. Das Personal war zu uns sehr freundlich und es gab sogar kostenloses Wasser, sowie eine kostenlose Toilette. Wir waren positiv überrascht und kommen gerne wieder :)

You want to offer a gift to a friend who already owns almost everything? Then go to the food market on the ground floor of the Globus department store in the center of Lausanne. You will find the most improbable stuff, obviously at sky high prices but so what!? Here is just a small selection on what is on offer. And once you have picked up what should be in the gift box, just bring it to the pleasant ladies in the gift section to have it boxed and wrapped up. Not recommended for the cost conscious consumer.

The staff in all areas I visited was very friendly. Not necessarily the best prices but still correct ones and some offers that are really interesting! The choice of brands is good. I particularly like the 3rd floor with everything for kitchen and home. Very good products!

I have a disgusting experience today while shopping in the second floor, woman department. I was looking for a new coat, and without I asked for it, one of the shop assistants comes to talk with me suggesting that “they have other big sizes if needed”. A not requested advice and a way to tell me that I’ll probably not fit into the models exposed. My husband was with me and he had the same bad impression. Of course I get out the shop without buying nothing.In the other hand, I love the épicerie/supermarket, very good products, and the bag’s sector I have good experience with the assistants.

This review is only about the grocery store part of Globus. It's very expensive, of course, but the variety and quality is amazing. The fruits part looks like a feast every day and has some exceptional selections. Hams, salami, the cheese stall, the boulangerie where you can also sit and eat in place, with hot chocolate... We enjoy this place a lot.

It's a bit pricey but well worth the splurge. Had a salad here and bought wine for a friend, which they provided complimentary gift wrapping.
