In one word it AWFUL! I could tolerate only 5 months. My only advice is to stay away. There is absolutely no silence. Always a noise. Since the walls inside the houses are very thin, you can easily make noise and be uncomfortable. Other thing is The office administrative will act like angels until you sign the contract, but after that, don't expect any respect. They absolutely do not keep their promises. What they say contradicts themselves. Terrible dorm office management. If you really don't want a headache, you can find much better places to stay for this price.

I can only agree with books lover. Sadly there is no one who sticks to the rules. People are loud all the time. For someone who works and studies at the same time, there are better options. And if you want to quit, you still need to pay for the flat for 6 month.. A normal shared flat is the better option.

For me it is the best place to stay in Luzern as an international student. I had friends staying in flats in other places and I can confirm Student Mentor Foundation (SMF) is by far the most modern, clean and nicest place. The views are AMAZING and it is very nice that all the flats are already equipped with furniture, cutlery, and cooking/cleaning equipment. I think the price of the flat is amazing compared to any other place in Luzern or Switzerland.I really fell in love with the place, it is just very cozy and really comfortable to live in there. If you're new the city, it is the perfect place to make friends from all around the world. The location is just so centric and makes it very easy to go and return at any hour without depending on a bus to take you there in case it's late. Supermarkets are very near and also it is near of several bus routes that makes transportation so easy.The comments below say it is very loud, honestly I'm very surprised to read that, since in my opinion I think that is one of the things they take care the most. There was one time where literally me and 2 friends were just chatting in the living room with the window open and security came to ask us gently if we could lower down the voice. Don't be afraid of the noise, it really isn't loud.Also, the SMF office treated us so so nicely. Always when we had a problem we were able to contact them and they were always there to help. They were always nice and charming with us and made us feel so welcomed. I really would like to thank them for their great flexibility and the big heart they showed to us.My exchange semester has been the best 6 months of my life and great part of that is thanks to taking the decision to live in SMF. Steinhofstrasse 15A will always stay in my heart ❤️
