Hotel Rössli Zürich

Contemporary and clean hotel. Nicely located near the river. Rooms are unique. Only negative is that there is not a full time staff member at check-in, which makes it extremely inconvenient and annoying when you want to check in - especially after travelling from afar.

Top position in the Old City.The room was incredibly hot. No air conditioning. We have been literally melting and the fan didn’t really help. The room at the 5th floor was a sauna.Decent breakfast. The reception opens at 11:00 which is quite late considering it’s an hotel in the city centre and the guy at the reception doesn’t act really friendly, no smiles, lack of communication. I personally didn’t really feel welcome. At 23:30 when we returned the door was closed as well as the reception. Normally these information should be provided at the check-in.Would I return? Sorry, no. In the old town you can find other options.

Nice location and good breakfast. But I find it very odd that after 6-7 pm there is no one at the reception and doors are closed. We were on the way so had no chance to check the email. Once arrived we called and got the code to enter. Our cards were in the envelope with the information however it was not really clear that we had to go to the building across the road, as there was only address mentioned and obviously no one is paying attention at the address. Next day when I went to pay the lady from the reception asked me hundreds of questions why did not we check the email why did not do that why we did that. Honestly I had nothing to answer as it was booked by my boyfriend and he was driving so had no time to check his emails, and no one would except that at 7pm there is no one at the reception. So I found it rather annoying, like we did something wrong. I was also told that I can of course leave my bags at the reception after check out, when I came to leave them, the lady from the reception just basically kicked me out telling that there is no space. The room itself is rather prepared chaotic. 1 tea spoon for 2 cups, cheap coffee and no milk, 1 bed light did not work, super hot during summer, and impossible to open the window during night as it is full of people in the restaurant downstairs. All in all, there are better hotels in this area for the same or even cheaper price.

One of the most pleasant hotel experiences I’ve had. The staff was always so helpful and accommodating. The room was perfect and had an amazing view right on the lake. We spent a few days at their spa which was also very nice. Highly recommend staying here when traveling in Switzerland. It’s in a great location as well.

Not sure where to start how unacceptable this hotel is. We checked in tonight at 7:03- no one was at the reception desk (which is tiny). My mom went upstairs to the restaurant to ask where the receptionist was while I read the small sign that told us to call another hotel to check in. We were instructed to take the envelope that was on the desk - our key would be in there. Theoretically what is stopping ANYONE from taking the keys from the envelope and going into the room. Next issue was we did not know our room was in a separate building which is across the from the checkin area until the waiter from the restaurant told us it was there! Third issue, we could barely fit in the tiny elevator with our 2 suitcases! When we entered the (double) room it is MUCH smaller than any pictures on google make it appear. Check out the photos!! Now to the worst issue… it is June 20th, the temperature out side is 85 the room is NOT Air Conditioned!!!! In 2023 who would knowingly book /stay in a room with a Dyson as your only means of cooling it in the summer, which is basically moving hot air around? This is one step above camping. Now the window is wide open to try to cool the room down but we will be closing it for security issues to go to sleep. This hotel should be embarrassed to not advertise that they don’t have an acceptable means of cooling the rooms. We have not spoken to anyone because there is no one at the front desk until 9am- again , what if there is a security or safety issue in the middle of the night who do you get in touch with??? We will be changing hotels asap. Don’t stay here if you want any kind of nice accommodations . We are so disappointed since we were looking forward to an enjoyable time for our first trip to Zurich. We have traveled extensively and this is not what we are accustomed to.

This is a very quaint hotel BUT there is no air conditioner and it was JULY. They did try to make us more comfortable with some Dyson fans but still very uncomfortable at night. Rooms are VERY small and more suited to single a guest. It was very clean and the bathroom was large. Only 3 to 4 rooms per floor.Contactless check-in when we arrived after hours at 10:30 pm. I believe the front desk hours were 9 to 6 pm so we didn't actually have contact with any staff until day 2.Location was convenient and walking distance to train station and shopping and public transportation.View was of a shoe store but not the worst I've had. Overall, it was not a bad experience, but I would rethink staying during the hot part of summer.

These folks are great to work with...I found myself in a position that I needed to book a room quickly and neglected to read the fine print" that this particular room was non-refundable. I contacted the hotel within about 14 hours of booking it and explained my situation and they worked with me to make everything right. Nice job."

The best part of Switzerland!My family loved staying here and the hospitality of the staff.They are extremely helpful in answering questions and prepare a hearty breakfast each morning.The owner even gave my family a DVD he filmed of Switzerland that we will watch soon.Everybody was so kind, especially to our 9 month old baby girl.We would love to come back in the future and visit again!

Our stay at Hotel Rössli in Zurich last weekend was simply fantastic. The room was incredibly spacious and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. But the real standout feature was the bed - it was so comfortable that I slept soundly every night and woke up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.The breakfast at Hotel Rössli was also very good. The selection was varied and everything was fresh and delicious, from the bread and pastries to the meats and cheeses. The coffee was also excellent and a perfect start to my day.Finally, I have to mention the service at Hotel Rössli. The staff was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. They were always available to answer my questions and make recommendations for things to do in the area.Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel Rössli to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Zurich. The spacious room, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, and attentive service make it a top-notch choice for any traveler. I can't wait to return on my next visit to Zurich.

Top Lage! Sehr netter Empfang und zuvorkommende Rezeptionistin. Für Geschäftsreisen eher ungeeignet, da es keine Verwahrmöglichkeiten für Gepäck und Wertgegenstände wie bspw. Laptoptaschen & Co. gibt. Zudem sind die Zimmer nicht klimatisiert.
