'Le Carrousel' Toys

So... we've gone to this place a few times. Up until this point our experience had been good and I had left positive reviews. However last Saturday (22nd Jun 2019) we had a horrible experience. We were looking for a gift for our youngest daughter and so naturally tried a number of toys to gauge her interest. However the staff never came to offer to help. A rather sensitive customer told us that our children shouldn't play with the toys so loudly so we got into a 'discussion' with her but the staff continued to be aloof and not talk with us until we raised the issue with them and left. I'm not sure but it did feel like there were some racist aspects of the lack of staff interaction with our group because some of the people with us were Chinese-Americans. This is a shame. We'd gone to the store a number of times in past and but don't have any desire to go back. I'm not keen on the large chain Toy stores but if you want your kids to be able to try before your buy it's better to go to Carl Webber or Nature and Discovery at Payot. A shame.

Expensive shop, poor service. Tried to return a toy (duplicate gift) and they said they could not reimburse me because the sale had been finalized last year": this was January 3

Legit toys for kids. If you are like me and don't like plastic junk I would swing by this place.

Has a nice selection of toys for younger children that still enjoy non-electric toys. The store has a basement level with toys for toddlers.

Wooden toys fans, here's your paradise! This lovely shop on two floors proposes a smart and beautiful selection of children toys, most sustainable and made of wood. I like browsing through when picking gifts for kids, from 0 to 16, I'd say...

Beautiful shop with great choice ! I went there several times but today was appalled at the behaviour of the female member of staff. She made remarks behind our backs, whispering negative stuff (we heard a few words). If you do not want children to try the toys, don’t let them out for them to touch and try. Or write a note or say something nicely. Or sell another type of goods if you don’t understand how children work and have no patience and clearly don’t like them….

They only sell 2or 3 brands of toys. Mostly Moulin Roty. The staff seem bored and not helpful at all
