Disappointing experience I have to say: I understand it is a private institution but the ultimate feeling they left for us is that they are interested in financial gain rather helping young parents nurture young children. Unfortunately we were given different information during the open house and after follow ups and eventually we aimed for another school. I know it sounds strong but: A greedy machine!Thank you for the reply below! I do believe you are camouflaging the story:1. On the day of the tour I was told the waiting list is about 2-3 months.2. You rejected my younger child 15 seconds into the phone call, the moment I told you I decided to take the older one to a different school. So forgive me but your intention was purely financial.3. You say the tours are booked one year in advance but when I left after my tour, someone else was given a private tour. So please save it!4. My older would technically be able to attend one year only as by next year he would be 5.5 and your school is limited to 6 years old, isn’t it?So as you can see, you are contradicting yourself and I do hope the school will get a new management with better ethical compass and transparent process.

We have been a House of Kids family since 2013. Our youngest will graduate from the school this weekend, having been reared from the baby group, to the TC and then to Kindergarden. Our experiences have been very positive and with the new management will only get better. The kids are well cared for, the food is exceptional (especially when compared to the local hort system) and the education is strong (especially when compared to the local kindergarden curriculum). We learned a lot about the Montessori philosophy along the way and employ the ideas regularly in our daily lives. I highly recommend if you are looking for reliable, high standard childcare.

No way. My child went to this school for a few months. She was attacked by another child, on multiple occasions. Instead of showing concern for my daughter’s well-being and welfare, they focused all their efforts on the offending child yet, somehow, that child still continued to physically assault my kid. Susanne was rude and offensive. We ended up withdrawing our child after she was bitten in the face to the point that skin was broken. We demanded immediate refunds of all deposit monies and tuitions. Susanne made a misguided attempt to retain monies until we sent a legal letter. Steer clear.

House of Kids is the most wonderful nursery school you can ask for. We moved countries quite a bit so I have experience with quite some Montessori nurseries/kindergartens in different countries. Therefore think I can judge a little. HoK made the start into life in Switzerland so so easy for our (back then) 3 year old son. He loved it from day one- all the teachers are very warm, caring and nurturing while being firm and leading in a very positive way. They are super flexible- half days/ full days/ add on lunches or afternoons- nothing is a ever a problem and their in-house chef is amazing (to the point where our son is asking if he can also come cook for us at home). Our son is thriving every day and has learnt so much there while also enjoying so many walks outdoors and not to forget the Friday forest mornings which are a huge hit! Of course bi-lingual teaching is also a major plus.The entire team seems to really love their jobs and you can see and feel that! I am thankful I found such a great place for my child to start his education. I could not have asked for more. Thanks to everyone at House of Kids! We are so happy with you!

Very friendly and accommodating staff, well equipped modern classrooms, great education philosophy. They worked miracles with our 4 year old daughter.

Our daughter attends KG at House of Kids and we could not be happier. I am very pleased with the team (very professional, friendly, and accommodating) as well as with the education (this is a proper Montessori school). My daughter is extremely happy to go there. This is a very strong foundation for the future.

It was the best decision ever! Both of our children attend House of Kids. They both developed into independent, self-confident, very interested and happy personalities.Our daughter is attending school starting this summer, learning is so much fun for her and she can't wait to learn even more.Our son has one more year to go.You can feel that the well-being and development of the children are the top priority for the caregivers as well as the management.We thank you for everything!

Our two kids - twins - have attended Kindergartarten at HoK. Our experience has far exceeded all our expectations. We feel very lucky for having this opportunity.Amongst the factors that we appreciated:- Very healthy atmosphere, calm and respectful, group dynamics have been very well managed and the group of kids built a very positve spirit.- Flexibility: they are very flexible with kids to introducing the concept of rules progressively and respecting the development of the individual consciousness of the children. Also very flexible with parents to accomodate to our requests. Example of the later, we asked to put both kids in the same KG class and although they advise us against it, they still accepted to have them together as we wanted.- Appropriate learning materials and technics. There is a lot of thought put into the methods to learn for example mathematics or reading/writing and they have a large amount of learning material in many subjects, which motivates the children and helps them learning.- Relatively low personnel turnover. Although there have been changes, the childcare stuff has been quite stable in comparison to what is usual in other institutions.The most important, we realize that the owners of HoK are genuinely interested in child education. They develop their employees, participate in education conventions and also work directly in the groups as teaching staff.Thank you very much for all what you've done for the kids!Antonio G.

I was working at House of Kids Adliswil as a Montessori Asisstent and it was my 1st experience with Montessori Pedagogic. The rooms are light, large, with a lot of day light, adjusted to the age of the kids (the hight, colours and quantity of materials, specific furniture for toddlers). The materials presented on the shelfs attracts child's attention. Children were actively working and learning the whole day through, alone, in a couple or in small groups deciding which material they want to work with by themself. It was great experience for me.

I’m a very picky mum but the teachers at the House of kids are amazing! Both my boys have attended the school from 6 months old until kindergarten.Both my boys learnt to be independent e.g. making their own breakfast, helping with small household duties such as watering plants.At first I was not really sure about the Montessori teaching method - learning at their own pace. But my boys were able to read and write very early on and have a very happy environment to socialize in.I would recommend this school to any parents!
