Capanna Cristallina CAS

I stopped off to have a quick coffee and snack during our hiking trip.They were very nice to show us the accommodation and it was all in order. It can be accessed only by foot and recommend stopping by..Being a hut the rooms are communal and there are bunk beds.

Impolite and not welcoming workers. It's cold inside, both physically and emotionally. Not good food. Expensive.If you are in this region I recommend far more to go to Capanna Basodino 2h walk lower in the valley, where it's warm, nice vibe, more cozy. Nice and welcoming hosts. and good food especially the deserts!

Unfriendly staff with bad communication. Hut is fine (except when you're in a shared bedroom with loud people and a barking dog). Traditional food is OK.It's expensive and I understand why, but at least staff should care about the guests and not only their money.If I knew this beforehand I would've put up my tent in the snow.

Super modern mountain hut on an amazing location on top of the Cristallina pass and gorgeous views.

Spectacular hat placed right at the Cristallina pass. Magnificent view on the Basodino glacier. The hat is very clean, reservation is easy and fast and service is very friendly. One star less for the not so excellent food (at least when we were there).

It is a luxury hut by usual hut standards with good hot shower (5CHF best spent!), tasty (and copious) dinner and great location.Wonderful views all around and nice hikes to and from there.The only downside is that it is quite a large hut so you don't get the same vibe as the small ones. It can feel hectic in the eating area at meal times and at rush hours in the bathroom.Otherwise it is extremely comfortable. I was in a 12 person's dormitory but we were only 6 or 8 people there so it felt quite comfortable. Overall a very comfortable place to sleep high up in the mountains compared to the average mountain hut.Delicious home made cakes.Breakfast is quite simple.

Bad people managing this hut. They only care about money. Last Friday we had to cancel due to heavy rain (it was not safe and not recommended to go there from Basodino). They charged us 100 CH!!!!!We understand a fee cancellation of 20-30CH but 100ch?? For safety reasons?? These people are not human but a money machine. Don’t go there

Sehr erfreut über die Architektur, die die Schmutzzone und den Wohnkomfort gut trennt, viel Holz und grosse Fenster bieten Gemütlichkeit und viel Licht. Die Dusche tat gut. Das Risotto mit Osso Buco war super! Bedienung sehr freundlich! Danke dem Team

Grosse Hütte mit viel Platz, topp geführt (sauber, etc). Fliessend Wasser zum Trinken und sogar Duschen. Abendessen lecker mit schöner Weinauswahl. Der Umfang des Frühstücks führt halt bei vielen Hütten immer wieder zu Enttäuschung, aber hier fand ich es definitiv auch zu wenig Auswahl und/oder Liebe. Man möchte diesen Hüttenwart:innen am liebsten ins Ohr flüstern: Es ist der letzte Eindruck der bleibt, macht was draus. Zum Beispiel Honig und Konfi aus der Region statt Hero, braucht auch nicht mehr Platz im Heli.
