Giessbachfälle

Wir haben auf dem Parkplatz geparkt und sind von dort aus los. Dort kann man nur Tagestickets kaufen (10€). Man kann auch mit dem Schiff fahren und einen Teil mit der Bahn hochwärts fahren.Es war sehr beeindruckend!Wir sind bis hoch zu einer kleinen Brücke gelaufen. Das war anstrengend aber machbar. Es gibt zwischendurch keine Bänke zum Ausruhen aber man kann sich auf Baumstämme oder Steine setzen. Weiter unten begegnet man sehr viele Menschen. Man kann hinter dem Wasserfall lang laufen. Es gibt unten auch Restaurants und dort dann viele Möglichkeiten zum Ausruhen und Bestaunen der Natur.

Schöner Wasserfall unter den man auch gehen kann. Hier muss nur das Parken gezahlt werden. Ich glaube es waren 5 oder 8 Franken. Von dort geht man einen schönen Waldweg und hört schon das rauschen. Der Wasserfall kann sowohl oben als auch unten begangen werden. Im Hintergrund steht das historische Hotel was auch ein Bild wert ist. Schöne Gegend

Beautiful falls in the middle of a forest. I randomly bumped into it while biking around the lake of Brienz (there is a short gravel road before and after the falls). Beautiful ride and an excellent stop to see nature in full power. There is also a big restaurant, and you can hike up and down the falls, even walk under the fall.

The waterfall is absolutely breathtaking and easily accessible.If you're in the area, it's a must-visit. The water flows strongly from the mountain onto a structure that resembles a small pond.It's a beautiful sight to see the white water blending into the blue pond water. People seem to throw coins into the pond as well. Convenient parking is available near the main entrance. The location is fantastic, with water flowing directly from the mountains and giving you a sense of its power. What makes this waterfall even more enchanting is that there are actually two of them - one on the mountainside and another in the middle of the waterway

Wonderful waterfall easily accessible by car. Only an 8 min hike is necessary to see the waterfall from the first viewing Point. The other hiking trails are much longer. I never hiked before and found it pretty easy. I've also seen quite a few old people and little children.What makes the experience even more amazing is that you can pass under the waterfall. It was not cold near the waterfall but the ground can be wet and slippery. A waterproof jacket would be beneficial.There is a large enough parking next to the hiking start place for about 2.5 CHF per hour. Just follow the signs and you'll find the waterfall after about 8 min.No tickets are necessary, entry is free of charge.

Wonderful place. You will need approximately 20 mins from the parking area. You can walk under the falling water! Must see

Gorgeous sight and there’s a path to walk behind the water fall. There’s suppose to be a bus that goes from Brienz to the waterfall, but timing was not too frequent. Hence I took a scenic walk (1hr 10min), it was a really beautiful walk around the lake and snapping so many pictures on the way. Directions were clear and you can’t miss it. Love the majesty roaring sound of the waterfall. There’s also a very grand hotel and restaurant at that area, in case you want to stay. Highly recommended.

Super Ausflugsziel mit vielen Wasserfällen und einem schönen Ausblick auf ein altes Hotel +Brienzer See. Man kann sogar unter einem Wasserfall hindurch laufen. Der Weg zu den anderen Wasserfällen ist auch nicht sehr schwierig und man kann sich immer wieder auf etwas neues freuen. Es sind ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden und die Parkgebühr betrug 10 Fr. Da man für die Wasserfällen keinen Eintritt bezahlen muss, geht die Parkgebühr in Ordnung. Im alten Hotel bekommt man Speisen und Getränke.

A magical place! The beauty of the surroundings is overwhelming! We stopped here during a cruise on the Brienz lake and we had the most perfect day out!
