One of the best place where fly.The crew is very friendly and always ready to help, in particular with the special environment: Alps!You can rent a/c, have taxi service, tourist trip, school...I spent many hours of flight there, it's a great base: tarmac & grass rwy, ATC, custom chk on demand with police, Avio and Jet fuel hely-pad, firefight service...A/d has an extra: military base, in particular is the school of flight and school for explorer (like USArmy Rangers), so you may have a nice special activities show.A/d is the home-base of the PC-7 Team, aerobatic squadron; and often you can see land and park many special a/c (e.g.: Ju-52).Where to go from Locarno: Ambrì, Samedan, Sion, Pilatus, Bergamo, fly over all wonderful alps in just less than 2h you can see Dolomite and Matterhorn.

Der absolute Pizza geheimtipp unter den privat Piloten am Flughafen Locarno.Selten eine so gute, reichlich belegte und mit knusprige dünnem Boden versehen Pizza gegessen. Ich bin ein heikler Esser und schaue wirklich genau hin doch das war wirklich fein und war den 50 minütigen hinflug wirklich wert. Absolut zu empfehlen und ein tolles Preis leisungs Verhältnis.
