Food and wine and the service divine!One can only come away with the conclusion that this is the absolute best place in Zurich by far.There is no other way to put it.The service level is beyond everything this entire country can offer.The atmosphere in the garden, intimate, cared for, beautiful and private.Yet apart from the magnificent wines, the excellent food and environment, it is the people who make this place shine!At this moment it is probably appropriate to suggest that Lucas, a fantastically verbally gifted and tremendously entertaining and knowledgable person produced a delightful evening one cannot forget and will very soon, should receive instant promotion.Now what a wonderful, attentive, relaxed and knowledgable lad.This is how one wants to experience a night out! They define class, authentic and professional service that can put the Ritz Carlton to shame.This goes for the whole team but we took such tremendous delight in his service, we were blown away.Thanks!

Toller Service, tolles Personal das immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen hat. Auch die Räumlichkeiten sind beeindruckend und die Atmosphäre im Hotel ist sehr angenehm und herzlich.Das vorzügliche Essen ist natürlich auch in die Bewertung eingeflossen.Ich freue mich aufs nächste Mal.

We had drinks that were slightly unbalanced. One person in the staff offered to change one drink and never came back. We asked for the bill and left. Maybe we'll give it another chance. The location is charming and classy, the service great except for the guy never fixing the drink.

I will keep this short as I provided detailed feedback directly to their email feed which went unrecognised. For a 5 star hotel in Zurich the treatment received and the service provided was 3 stars at best.Do not expect to receive any details of your arrival, stay or check out. Do not expect 5 star service and do not anticipate the menu items expected and seek dinning accommodations elsewhere.Ultimately, there are several hotels owned and managed within Zurich by this team and I would recommend spending your dollars elsewhere.In short, we did not have our room originally booked, we’re charged more than quoted for their disorganised system, and received minimal (zero) effort checking in and out.

This place was amazing! In the heart of zürich it is the perfect spot for a hotel. The staff were the nicest I have met. One staff () member (Marco) in fact helped us find a restaurant, helped us compare places and gave us directions. The rooms were huge and had a old swiss charm

Not sure the appeal of this hotel honestly. Wouldn’t recommend.Pros-1. Friendly check in staff2. Superb locationCons-1. Room was really musty. When we told staff, they said we were already upgraded, wouldn’t move us, and sent housekeeping who sprayed some fragrance. Kept windows open for a while but it was cold so it just wasn’t pleasant2. Dirty shower. Gross.3. Dated (not in a charming way) decor. Just feels old and untouched in room.

Widder Hotel
Although we were only at the Widder for two nights, I can say it was completely divine. The location is perfect. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was amazing room. We found the service and cuisine to be great at Widder Bar, Widder Restaurant, and Widder Garden. We had particularly exceptional service each morning at breakfast - the best we had during our 2 weeks in Switzerland. Widder Garden was an oasis and a completely charming way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I stay here every time I am in Zurich and in the past 15 years it has only gotten better. Some hotels that I have loved really came down a notch after Covid; however, the Widder is still as great as it always has been. The staff are phenomenal, and the rooms are elegant yet eccentric and extremely comfortable. The location is great for meetings or sightseeing around old town and it’s convenient to the train station as well as the lake.
