Took the boat from Lausanne to Montreux (via Vevey). The boat ride was reasonable and not too long (about an hour and a half). Second class is 26 CHF, first is 37 - you just get access to the upper deck. Views of lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains are amazing.You can hike from Montreux up to Caux - this is a demanding 1.5h hike constantly uphill but worth it for some more incredible views.

Bin mit meinem Fahrrad ganz knapp zu spät am Hafen angekommen. Der Bootssteg war schon raufgezogen. Und trotzdem haben sie mich aber noch mitgenommen. Und dazu super freundlich und hilfsbereit!!!!! Ganz ganz toller Service!!!

Take a CGN cruise if you have time on your trip to Switzerland! The boats are great and the views are even better. The upgrade to first class (access to upstairs with more seating) is definitely worth it.
