Chandolin Boutique Hotel
We felt well since the first moment of our staying. Nice rooms, lots of decorations and the very kind staff give a warm atmosphere to this hotel. And finally an excellent restaurant mainly using local/regional products sets the last touch of a generally recommandable hotel! The only little negative point: the wellness - mainly the relaxing room - is a bit to small. But no reason not to come back once.

In general very nice hotel, beautiful room with a lot of storage. Amazing view from the room.I found bed to be very comfortable, but I would like to have had two additional pillows, by default there are only two pillows. The most disappointing thing about the hotel was it’s restaurant.Menu was very limited with options, risotto was horrible, it must be removed from the menu. The only thing that I liked was kale salad, everything else was very mediocre considering the price.Desserts are nicely presented, but not that tasty. If you planning a longer stay, getting tasty food would be very challenging.

We celebrated our seventh anniversary at the Boutique Hotel over the course of three days. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the incredible view, the nice rooms and the hot tubs with our friends and family... and we got absolutely blown away by the food during the evening meal. The apero and party in the moonbar were a delight. Caroline and her staff were always friendly, helpful and forthcoming, both during the stay and in helping organizing it. Thanks to the whole team for the amazing moments we spent there!

Technically, if this place presented itself as an average mountain hotel, I would give it 5 stars. But for their presentation and price it's not enough. Stayed there for 2 nights.HOTEL:On arrival, we walked in. There was a high table by the door with several persons sitting in their computers right by the door so we proceeded further to find reception area. There was nothing ahead (just the restaurant) but it appeared that that high table was a staff corner. Looked really awkward. We had a dog and on the online booking we were asked what size of the dog we have. The hotel needed this info to provide the right size of bed and prepare the room. There were s, m and l options to choose. We chose L. On check in when we saw the bed, we were really surprised. It was literally chihuahua size and would fit only our dog’s head. Food and water bowls were also small. After contacting the reception, they told us: sorry, we have so many dogs visiting so we gave you the available option. Why would you ask this information during the booking process then? So the receptionist told us “I look what I can do” and replaced the bed with a bit bigger one but it was definitely not the L size and our dog could barely fit there. Bowls were left untouched.I wouldn't recommend the spa there. Extremely small sauna, I'm not sure if hammam worked properly (the seatings were cold and it wasn’t really heating up in general), only 4 resting beds inside, no towels (once we asked for it, the receptionist brought us 2 towels though). Spider nets in sauna. Jacuzzis are… not really jacuzzis how you can imagine it but just warm water baths with one active water stream. All the guests wanted to get into those baths but they were constantly occupied so you would literally see how people run to the bath from the spa once they notice that it’s about to get free. No cosmetics in the shower. The hotel has some nicely looking cosmetics to sell but you have some no name stuff in the rooms. Double rooms have ONE resting chair on the balcony. There were many little things that could be repaired. And we could also find some strange things: an empty chalkboard with deep scratches all over it — just why would we need it? A tablet with hotel website opened… why?RESTAURANTWas pretty good. The first day we had a drink on the bar terrace and our dog was never offered a water bowl (in July!). Otherwise we enjoyed food and service there.I would not recommend this place for the price they ask. But check the restaurant if you pass Chandolin or stay nearby.

I haven't slept there but just had an after ski vin chaud. I recommand it as well as the hot chocolate. The settings are very nice and the panorama breathtaking. I will have to go back to try the other drinks.

We had an exceptional stay here for a long weekend. The spa facilities are very nice, suite is luxurious, and you can ski down pretty much to the door. We highly recommend. The view from the spa, balconies, restaurant, etc. is incredible.

Overall not a bad experience but there were some issues. The good: beautiful views, especially if you book a room that faces the mountains. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly (although seem young and inexperienced). Restaurant is very nice looking. The grounds are well maintained. The bad:Rooms are small although very nicely decorated (sort of rustic Swiss chalet with some modern touches). I booked the largest room available before the apartments and it was fairly small. Balcony barely fits one chair. However, it was cozy and had lots of storage. The bed was maybe the worst I’ve ever slept in. Super soft and sinking in. My back was killing me. The duvet they use doesn’t cover the mattress (it’s smaller than the bed). I was alone so it was fine but if you are a couple you will need to request a second duvet. Also no top sheets and only two pillows. Maybe that’s a European thing. Rooms are not soundproof so if anyone is talking in the hallway it’s super loud.Wifi didn’t work the entire time. No overnight staff at front desk after 10pm.The only restaurant in the hotel is very overpriced for what you get. They are attempting a very high standard but unfortunately the results are not great. The presentation is beautiful but most of the dishes I had were very disappointing. Many things were either very over salted or very under salted. The risotto was bitter and I couldn’t eat it. Another dish had very bitter sauces. They seem to use the same ingredients in many dishes. Like the squash soup and the risotto were essentially the same dish. The menu is also very small and is the same for lunch so if you are staying for a few days you will run out of options. No child menu. There is a more casual restaurant next door which is not a bad option. Otherwise you will have to drive back down the mountain to find food and from what I’ve seen the options aren’t great and extremely overpriced. I had a very mediocre small pizza for 25 Swiss francs. The spa is very small but very nice. The lady doing the massages however doesn’t speak any English so communication was difficult. I booked a sports deep tissue massage and it was extremely disappointing. I kept asking for more pressure but I just don’t think she had the training or strength for a real deep tissue massage. The hours for using the spa are also strange. You can only use the sauna/Nordic baths from 2-8pm. No explanation given. Water in the Nordic baths was way too cold. It was basically lukewarm and no one was attending to it despite guests asking. The lounge room (Moon Room) would be randomly closed all day without posted signage. I asked the front desk why it was closed to guests and got the explanation that “the manager is not in today and she decides when it would be open”. Would have also been nice if the hotel posted information in English as well as other languages. They had activities posted by reception but only in French.Keep in mind this hotel is in a tiny village without many amenities or stores and everything closes very early. If you are just coming to relax then this hotel is fine but if you are looking for something to do in the evenings or get bored easily then this place is not for you.

This place has amazing views. Jacuzzi outside after a long day hiking is amazing. Food in the restaurant was perfect (€€€€). Breakfast (included) was a bit simple. Also missed some more cut fruit and perhaps berries, and some fresh vegetables like tomatoes or cucumber. But bread and pastry selection was great. Staff was lovely. I really liked the option to rent an apartment with our own kitchen. Everything was very clean. Also they serve amazing wine from Sierre region. I would love to come back.
