Grimper.ch Echandens

Great place for indoor and outdoor (on the wall) climbing. It also has a small place for bouldering. Several routes with variable difficulties (both top roping and lead climbing). I think it serves all skills.It has a bar if you are up for a cold/hot snack and a beer. Staff is very friendly (they speak English).The location is 4* only because it is a bit far from public transport (15 min walk from Bussigny train station, 5-10min walk from 705 bus, and has limited (~30 parking places).

The routes are nice (not very high), but busy during weekdays in the evening. The customer service is a nightmare. I asked specifically before buying my yearly subscription whether it is possible to pause the subscription in case of injury or long periods of travelling (I am not Swiss by nature). The people at the climbing gym at Echandens told me this was possible. However, the head office has another view on this and are referring me to the policy on the website. As a client you expect to be able to rely on the information given to you by the employees and not have to fact check this information with the official guidelines. When mentioning this to the head office they gave a half apology and that they will contact the hall regarding what information to give, but nothing was offered in terms of a solution. They clearly only care about money and not customer satisfaction...

C’est ma deuxième maison. J’adore! Des nouvelles voies toutes les semaines, tous les Niveaux, staff cool. Faut y aller pour voir! J’adore.

A great experience for a first timer. Developed a new appreciation for climbing. I’ll definitely go back and soon.

Nice climbing hall, no more bouldering now.Relatively new and with a big outside area.Although we realized, that some grips are a bit loose, which was unexpected for a new wall.Cafeteria serves pizza and other meals to recover from a good climb!

Really cool place for climbers of all levels (4a to 7-8-9). Clean facilities with very friendly and helpful staff. They have automatic pulleys as well so you can climb alone as well as with a partner.Nice little café area that overlooks the climb room with a really nice selection of tea, coffee and food.Highly recommended.
