the couple running the place were very nice! Everything was under control the rooms/bathrooms are clean. The food was delicious and good portion! If you want to be in the nature is the perfect place to go! Thank you so much

BEWARE TMB HIKERS: they don’t have a bivouac area anymore!!!!! We had read in our guide and in our map that they had a camping area outside the refuge. We even asked some locals at Champex before getting there and they said they did accept people camping (like many other refuges on the TMB route, btw). We got there after a very tiring, hot day of hiking cos we wanted to do the bovine route to Trient and we were simply told that “they don’t do the camping thing anymore” without any further explanation! It was very annoying because there’s not so many camping places in the Swiss part of the TMB, we had to turn back and hike uphill another further 40 mins or so to get to the Relais d’Arpette. Otherwise, the place looked cozy and nice, but can’t comment on that since we didn’t stay. They should really advertise that they don’t have the bivouac area anymore.

Wonderful stay, food and service. We stayed as a part of the haute route.

Doing the TMB, this has been the worst of the trip so far. The staff are nice and friendly but the food was poor, bottle of wine for €38 is way overpriced. By no means a terrible place but the other huts we’ve stayed at have been far superior.

This place was perfect for our needs. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, good food (fondue!), and all the necessities for hikers and foot travelers. Lively, fun atmosphere of all ages and nationalities. Great value.

1 star for the price, the poor welcome(make an effort and learn to greet people, smile... We are customer not just wallet <3 There is no soul here, you are clearly a money factory!).And because in our MB guidebook, it says it s possible to bivouac....And they say, it s 59€/pers....No thank you, I won't pay 59€ to sleep in my own tent.(But if its just not possible to bivouac with our tent on your field -- that is suppose to be free, like around other refuges -- just say it to every guidebook, specially french one. Cause it s not clear !)

Just finished the Tour du Mont Blanc 2 weeks ago. Gite Bon Abri was my favorite accommodation the entire trip. The vibe of the Gite was great! Loved the fondue experience for the evening meal. I was also fortunate enough to have the private downstairs bedroom which was a great place to stay. They also had a reasonably- priced laundry service which was much needed at the time.All-in-all, was so glad I chose this as my accommodation near Champex-Lac

Best place I've stayed while Hiking, great energy. This Lodge is a lovely Swiss chalet surrounded by nature with stunning views. The experience is exactly what we had hoped for, simple service done well. It's run by this young energetic couple Gabriel and Vanda who are passionate about what they do. Great location, clean & cozy. The food was delicious, Swiss fondue served with fresh bread from the local bakery which was the star of the evening for me (They also pack lunch for the next day as an option, perfect for us :). The building has been there for over 110 years, is perfectly situated in the mountains and has these lovely stained glass windows. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

Friendly hosts, clean accommodations, and great fondue dinner. Fair price considering the location in Switzerland. No option to pay with credit card but they’ll accept Euros

Lovely stay! One of the best places you can find during the TMB. They have tap beer and very nice view from the garden. I could charge my e-bike and I highly recommend their lunch bags. They adapt too all needs!
