Excellentes bières

The small town of Mies has a single nano brewery, affectionately abbreviated BAM, which is only occasionally open for visitors to purchase bottled beer to go. They do not have a tasting room or bar. There is no dedicated parking, so plan to use nearby community parking if you visit. Look for the large rectangular 2-story concrete building with a walled entrance. Walk up the entrance driveway and straight ahead is an open shed for sales of motorized equipment. The unassuming brewery is located in the small wooden shed to the left. The tiny building has a wood panel door decorated with iron horse shoes. The place is not large enough to host visitors, and the brewing equipment inside is about as small as you can get for a brewery. If you look in the side window inside you can see the small stainless steel pot brewing vessels. I was fortunate to find one of their bottled beers at a nearby winery tasting room. Their Blanche Ale was decent - just average in my opinion. It’s a cute, rustic little place; too bad they are not regularly open to the public.
