Great view, good food, lots of gluten free choices, extensive wine list, service could be more polished. There is an adjacent small parking lot.

Great service as always. We even bought a half crate of wine to go. Lovely potato soup to start followed by a seasonal summer salad with chicken and a house favourite/ specialty the Züri kalbgeschnetzeltte. Cute children’s menu too! Great Austrian rose wine to go with our choices. Afterwards the little one was able to play on the extensive playground with the highlight being the zip line and monster slide alongside the adventure climbing frame. Alternatives were of course the free to use Bobby cars / tractors and the innovative mini golf course

My family and I, two adults and a toddler, have been at “Wirtschaft Schönegg” for a Sunday lunch. We loved it because it’s perfect for families with kids. The area is vast, and you can do a lot of activities before and after the meal. On top of that, food quality is higher than the average compared to other chalets in this area.Here’s the experience in short:Atmosphere & Place 8 ½: The restaurant is easy to reach from the motorway or the other roads. It is on top of a hill where you can enjoy the Zurich lake view in its full beauty. Parking is effortless. The restaurant is enjoyable if you eat outside on the terrace or opt for the inside tables where the typical Swiss chalet experience, without the smell of cheese, is guaranteed. The restrooms were tidy and clean, provided with hand sanitiser, and I really appreciated the playground room with plenty of toys for entertaining the kids.Menu 7: This is a typical Swiss restaurant with a regular Swiss menu. The quality is really high, though. We opted for an Apler Maggronen and a Schweinschnitzel, both very yummy. Our son had fried fish that he liked a lot. The delicious handmade mayo and ketchup boosted the overall meal experience.Service 7: The staff was friendly and responsive to our needs. They were fast in serving the dishes and providing the bill.Bill 6 ½: Fair considering the place, food and Swiss prices.

Sehr gutes Restaurant! Die Menus werden mit viel Liebe und kreativ zubereitet. Viele Parkplätze!Sehr gutes/frisches Essen. Supernette Bedienung! Extrem Kinderfreundlich mit Spielzimmer für Kinder/Minigolf/Bobbycars und Kleintieranlage. Einfach Top top top!Ist eher gehobene Preisklasse aber es lohnt sich!

Pretty nice place with stunning view on the Zurich lake towards southern part. Outside tables with sun-umbrellas giving pleasant shade during hot days. Friendly and good service, reacting quickly. Nice selection of food and beverages, vegetarian options included, wide choice of wines. Kids friendly with drawing books keeping them quiet for a while :) tasty desserts available. I definitely recommend this nice place.

Great restaurant with an amazing view of Zurich Lake and mountains. There are also playroom for the kids so you folk and sit back, relax, and enjoy the view!

Wir waren für ein Nachtessen mit Kerzenlicht eingeladen. Nach der Ankunft wurden wir vom Gastgeber zum Platz geführt, in ein Saal mit toll gedeckten Tischen. Ein junger Kellner begrüsste uns freundlich und startete mit der Bestellung. Das Menü wurde uns ohne grosse Wartezeit serviert, der Getränke Nachschub war perfekt. Wir genossen den Abend und können uns nur bedanken. Es hat alles super geklappt und das Essen, der Service und Gastlichkeit war Top. Wir wünschen dem Gastgeber und seinem Personal alles Gut.
