As is often the case with such organisations, Helvetas is no different. They stand up for one thing and disregard everything else. For example, data protection, the right to privacy, advertising protection. All of these are violations of human rights in the broader sense.Preaching about drinking water and causing feelings of guilt. This is the worst form of social manipulation and deception. In case you haven't noticed, drought conditions also occur in EU countries. In Switzerland, too, we have dried-up riverbeds.Nevertheless, you have enough money to produce extravagantly designed information letters. High quality, colour printed, in high resolution. The paper is in excellent condition. Even with stickers of water taps. And even with a QR invoice enclosed. So let me add it up: Marketing costs, electricity, printing, computers, staff, paper, logistics, transport, post, distribution, waste disposal. I think paper also used water in its production.Drinking water is scarce in African countries by default. To put it bluntly, that is a given. Just as there will never be sand in the Arctic, but people donate because of the scarcity of sand. And we have absolutely no guarantee of knowing what happens with our donations. This lack of transparency is the reason why so few people donate. And quite honestly: my money cannot magically create water. And even if it is invested in distillation plants:Then why haven't conditions improved over the years or have the locals found their own solution? Because the money ends up in the wrong pockets. Because there is a lack of education. One thing I have learned: these countries often don't want help. They want to make it on their own. And only through our own efforts will anything change. Those who ask for help here are those who already have enough water and even more money - all in the name of those who really need it.And you support the process by actually making the rich richer and the poor poorer, destroying the hard working middle class.I have nothing more to say.
