Before you get lost in this long review let me start by saying that I highly recommend training with Peter and Julien. Regardless your skill level. It will not disappoint and you will gain tons of new insights and tricks of the trade.Having not more than basic leather crafting experience, but absolutely no bag making experience, I took a leap of faith when I signed up for the three-day Peter Nitz advanced masterclass hosted at the Mrs. Rosehip atelier in The Hague, the Netherlands.I’ve been following Peter and Julien on Instagram and I have always been mesmerized and intrigued by their creativity, transparency and of course their consistent stunningly detailed handmade high-end leather goods. In preparation for the masterclass I had many questions. Both Peter and Julien were extremely helpful. Communication was always friendly, fast and clear. Next to that they took away a lot of my insecurities as I had learned my fellow students were either bag makers or had already trained with Peter and Julien.During the masterclass we all were assigned to our own workstation where Peter and Julien had already set up the supplies needed. It didn’t take long before I realized that they were excellent teachers too. They had a calm and clear way of explaining things. Always patient and willing to explain it again if needed. The fact they both were calm and approachable resulted in an excellent working atmosphere in which we didn’t feel pressured or rushed. Whenever a new technique was explained Peter and Julien didn’t just show how to execute, they also explained why the technique was used and how things would eventually come together.This three-day masterclass was an absolute blast. There isn’t anything more I could have wished for. Peter and Julien delivered and have exceeded my expectations. It now is clear to me why their work is so meticulously made. I don’t aspire to start my own leather craft business or to start selling leather good. This will remain a hobby but one I’m eager to learn more about. Therefore I will not hesitate to sign up again whenever they come back. My ultimate goal is to train with Peter and Julien in Zürich one day. All in time…Peter and Julien, I sincerely thank you both for such a wonderful time. It was great fun and extremely educational. Thank you for making me leave with a wonderful bag. Perfectionist should be his middle name. Peter Nitz is a master in his field. His work is exquisite and I am approached daily for my Tether Pouch, which he made for me. The olive green fits perfectly with my laptop color. I can heartily recommend Peter Nitz and his excellent skills.

I don't really know where to start with this review. I've been following Peter for a couple of years now and have always admired his work. When I was faced with the opportunity to train with him, I debated whether it was worth the time and money. I knew he was the best but I wanted to put a lot of thought into my decision to go all the way to Zurich for this.Well, I decided to go ahead and do it and can honestly say, it was the best decision I could ever have made. Peter is something else. He's not just amazing at what he does, he's an excellent teacher and all around good guy.I enjoyed every second I spent with Peter. No question was too much to answer and he couldn't have been more patient with me. He goes out of his way to make sure you get the most out of your time with him. I highly, highly, highly recommend a week with Peter. I walked away with so much knowledge that I really don't think I could have gotten anywhere else.Julien is a massive bonus! He's talented, sweet, kind and incredibly patient.If you're debating whether you should invest in training with Peter, just do it.
