Le seule moyen pour avoir une chambre, c'est de téléphoner, pour faire de la corruption, par exemple, de payer le mois d'août, même si les cours ne commence qu'en mi-septembre. Je suis vraiment dégoutée de n'avoir rien eu, alors que je me suis inscrite le plus tôt que possible et j'ai aussi évitée de téléphoner pour savoir si on va m'attribuer quelque chose (car dans le site, ils nous précisent qu'il est interdit de téléphoner). C'est vraiment scandaleux. FMEL doit l'assumer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beaucoup de problèmes administratifs. Mes plaques de cuisson on pris feu tellement elles sont vieilles. Certains appartements sont bien mais la majorité sont très loin de l’université, beaucoup trop petits (20 personnes dans une cuisine pour 6 par exemple) et trop chers pour ce que c’est. Malheureusement c’est le seul moyen d’avoir une chambre lorsqu’on n’est pas Suisse (a part chez l’habitant).

One of the worst experiences ever, and one of the main reasons I will not be able to study at EPFL. As advised on their website I applied as soon as the applications opened ( I have stayed up until 2am on 1st of May in order to apply, but the site was down and when I managed to finally access it, the application page was still closed, so I applied in the morning, around 40 minutes after the application opened, when a friend told me). I find it really unpleasant that they didn't tell us the exact hour when they will open their application form. Then from 1st of May I have waited and waited and I was pretty confident that I will be given a room. But I didn't receive any news until a friend called in July and they said that they will start giving answers in the beginning of August( I can't stop but wondering what they did all that time, crosswords ?? ). That estimation changed then to 10th of August and then to the end of August. Finally, on 31st of August, I received an email saying that they are fully booked and I should start looking to other places ( I applied to other student halls but I received the same ignorant treatment). And now, after they explicitly told us that they are fully booked and it's useless to try to contact them, a friend received a contact email from somebody and wrote them, and offered him a room !! I mean if it's not outrageous I don't know what it is. So yea... gone is the Swiss punctuality and honesty.

Nice place, good location, has all the necessary amenities and the people are very nice. Rooms are a bit small and it's right next to a road so it may be noisy,but that's to be expected.

Residência para jovens estudantes, espetacular

Would have been a wonderful experience until the check out process, I was forced to leave my residence with all my things 2 weeks before the end of the month because I was unavailable to do a room check because of my PhD working hours. FMEL show zero compassion to it's tenants and just wants your money.

J'étais censé avoir un logement garanti, le site ne marchais pas et il n'y avait qu'une seule personne pour s'occuper des problèmes informatique. Le problème n'a jamais été résolu, aucun moyen d'accéder à un logement. Tout avait dû être refait après les problèmes de l'année dernière, et bien c'est raté !

Les places sont dures à avoir, mais une fois la bas c est un délice. Les logements sont bien agencé et l'administration est réactive une fois contacté.

It is very nice residence. It has everything a student needs and it makes one feel comfortable inside. One of the best dormitories I've seen. It is just 20 mins away by metro from EPFL.
