I did the photoshoot as a gift to myself in hopes that it would help build my confidence and give me a boost. It most definitely did! Melissa and Aaron made it so comfortable and we laughed and joked through the whole experience. Melissa have great direction which made it way easier for me to feel comfortable. I was worried about looking awkward, but once I saw the photos, I realized how good she was! I’m so happy I decided to just go for it, as the end result of photos and album will be something I look back to whenever I need a boost of confidence.

I had a great experience doing boudoir photography with Melissa. The entire process was relaxed as she provide guidance on how to pose and what to do with your face (this is what I was most worried about). I was very happy with how my pictures turned out and recommend every woman to do this at least once in their life. I can't stop looking at my pictures and can't wait to see my photo album!

Melissa is one out of a million. A more professional and talented person with such a bubbly personality will be hard to get. The session was out of this world. From the moment she met you, until the last goodbye was an experience for the books. Her work is outstanding! The beauty of this entire session was that you, as the client determine what you want and the mood you would like to create. Even the music to accompany this experience is the client's choice - all to create an ambiance to reflect the best in you, to be captured. It was such an empowering experience and Melissa had the ability to bring the beauty of you as a woman out - this was reflected in all the photos. It was absolutely beautiful.

When I signed up for this experience I didn't have a clue as to how amazing this whole experience was going to be. Melissa is extremely professional, kind, and makes you feel at ease as soon as you meet her. The makeup artist working with her also does a fantastic job. To be honest, I was very nervous on the day of the shoot, but I had a lot of fun. I am an extremely camera shy person but Melissa made it very effortless. The most memorable experience of this whole process was the photo reveal. I cannot really describe how I felt looking at myself through Melissa's lenses. I often think of myself as childish at times but then in the pictures I was seeing this confident and mature woman and that was a precious moment. I still can't get over how amazing I look in the pictures :)

It was my first time doing a Boudoir photoshoot and my experience was fulfilling. I admired the way Melissa made me feel during my session; I felt confident, beautiful and comfortable. I really appreciated all the information Melissa provided me during the upcoming days to help ease the stress of what to wear and be creative with it. The recommendation of sharing a Pinterest board was a great idea, as I was able to show Melissa the type of photos/poses I was interested in doing. On the day of the shoot, I had my makeup done, I LOVED how Melissa provided feedback based on how it looked on camera. She was right on when she said “if you don’t love your makeup, you won’t love your photos”, after that, we were able to make some adjustments and my photos turned out beautifully.

Never in a million years did I think I would be comfortable doing a boudoir shoot but I’m so glad I did! I have a new found confidence and I can’t stop looking at my photos!! Loved working with Melissa, she made me feel so comfortable (even though I was waaaaay out of my comfort zone). Melissa made the whole experience so much fun and easy from deciding on outfits to getting me in the perfect poses. I would definitely recommend that any woman thinking about doing a boudoir shoot to just do it. You won’t have any regrets!!

I had the most beautiful photo shooting with Melissa. The minute I came in, I felt so welcome. I had never done a shooting before, but Melissa told me exactly what to do. The pictures she took are simply amazing, I feel like she not only catches the beauty of every woman she shoots, she also catches their essence.I can only highly recommend Melissa, she is an artist that makes you feel seen.

I had been contemplating doing a boudoir shoot for so many years, and finally decided that it would be a great 30th birthday present to myself. I could not be happier to have come across Van Oordt Photography in my search. The entire experience from start to finish was beyond amazing. Melissa answered all my questions in the one-on-one video call prior to the session, and was always available through text and email if anything else came up. I had so many questions about my hair, makeup, poses, outfits, etc, and she was so patient and skilled in answering all of my questions. On the day of the shoot, I was expecting to feel nervous and anxious, but Melissa made this such a comfortable and safe environment. She was so open to anything I wanted to try in terms of posing and outfits, and offered her expertise as well. We spent the entire shoot laughing and having a great time and I felt so relaxed throughout the entire experience. On photo reveal day, Melissa again took her time and I did not feel rushed at all. I'm so amazed at the way the photos turned out. This was such an empowering and confidence boosting experience, and I left the shoot feeling even better about myself. What I especially loved was the body positivity that Melissa promoted, and the way she encouraged and reminded me that we are all beautiful just the way we are. She truly helps you embrace who you are as a woman! I would 100% do this again, and I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone!

Melissa is a very talented photographer. I went to her Unstoppable exhibition in 2023 and immediately recognized her ability to capture beauty and personality in her photos. I decided to contact her for a photoshoot straight away.And I am absolutely delighted with the results. I think Melissa is capable of taking such great photos because she really loves and cares about what she is doing. This is evident during the whole photoshoot. She is very concentrated and so excited when she gets a shot that she is happy with.Melissa really listens to her clients and does everything to understand what they want from the photoshoot.Melissa works with a wonderful makeup artist, Anna, who helps make you look exceptional.Melissa is super friendly and fun as well as being highly professional. The whole process from first contact, to the wonderful makeover by Anna, to the photoshoot itself and then to the final delivery of the photos is seamless and really, really enjoyable !
