Restaurant pizzeria Alta 1874
I give this 3 star rating with pain in my heart. Why? Well I’ve observed a very proffesional team at work. They are not cutting corners at all and are putting a lot of efford in their work. The ambiance in this place is also very nice. A really good place to stay. There is just one problem with the core of their business; wrong combinations of flavours and/or textures in their dishes. They use fine ingredients and you can tell that they put effort in creating good food but somehow manage to make combinations that just don’t work that well. We had a seafood salad, chef’s pizza and tiramisu which all were somehow off. I think the kitchen only have to make very small adjustments to get my 5 star rating.

Nice staff, good raw ingredients but do not deserve the « Italian mention »I am sure all other dishes are good, but do not try pizzas or pasta

Sehr feine Pizzen mit etwas viel Rand, in einem trendigen Lokal mit freundlicher Bedienung, gibt es hier im Alta 1874. Der Salat war lecker, mit Balsamico Essig. Die Preise sind eher hoch, wie in einem Touristischen Ort zu erwarten.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, die Tische haben einen angenehmen Abstand zueinander. Sowohl Salat als auch Pizza und Dessert war sehr fein. Das Brot zum Salat hat noch viel Potential nach Oben.Der Service war in unserem Fall leider ungenügend. Wir mussten mehrfach die Karaffe Wasser in Erinnerung rufen, die Dessertbestellung schaffte es nicht vom Tisch bis zur Küche. Nach einer Nachfrage wurde das Dessert dann doch noch gebracht und kostenlos offeriert, genauso wie zwei Limoncello.

Great four cheese pizza and the view is not comparable to anything I've experienced. Also had the steak with roast potatoes and pepper sauce, great thin steak.

The food was delicious! I had salmon with side salad (normally in uk you’d get lettuce drizzled with oil but this side salad was with olives, sun dried tomatoes and pesto dressing) I really liked it. My friends had pizza which was ok too. The only negative is that we were waiting to pay forever and had to go to the bar to pay at the end.

I could give this place 5 stars, hands down, just for the service alone. Add to that delicious food and great ambiance in a super location.They went above and beyond in welcoming and taking care of my mother’s wishes, which was enormously invaluable an experience for me (and naturally for my mother).We went back the next day for a small take away order. Very happy and satisfied.
